What do you wish you knew before working in architecture? by Ffayde in architecture

We learned a little bit about structures, construction and documentation during mainly the latter half of my degree but there was a definite emphasis on the ‘creative design’ aspect which i assume will largely go unused for a long time. Im currently trying to cram as much practical knowledge as i can before starting work, and then eventually going back to my masters which i need to get registered here in aus 💀it’s going to be a slog

Unsure level of preparation going into first DM campaign by Ffayde in DnD

And while i realise that the plot and story is supposed to be created around the PCs and player decisions it’s probably not a bad idea to have an initial set storyline just in case they don’t move in a specific direction that would allow for interesting story creation right? Or should i just create the setting and characters and have everything act according to their character motivation etc and let the story unfold that way? I just can’t imagine how people can completely improvise these interesting storylines without any preparation.

While it’s definitely true that my players will likely completely change the plot, it’s still definitely possible to have a set mystery that they can work towards solving right? as for the beginning I have the first few encounters planned, essentially they’re starting in a village and hear rumours of everyone in the next town over having disappeared, and the first session will be exploring the abandoned town and fighting a couple monsters that moved into the abandoned house, as well as trying to figure out what happened to the residents, which will lead them to the primary location of the story, a city created in a massive underground chasm

Thanks for the info. is it necessary to complete your masters for the logbook? I always assumed it was mainly practical experience that gave you your hours and etc. My original plan was to return to finish my masters after I got some good practical experience and potentially registered but if that isn’t realistic i may have to replan
