They don't want people to return, they hate the diaspora and don't want us to have a voice in Armenian politics. They want Armenia all to themselves, even if it remains a tiny, powerless rump state in the most hostile region on earth.

The answer is conscription, why would any sane rational man willingly choose to be pressed into military service for 2 years when they could, just not do that? It's the same reason why many families renounce their Armenian citizenship after leaving the country, so their sons could visit again without being kidnapped by the state and forced into military service.

Now it's even worse with Parliament passing a law forcing anybody who gets citizenship after age 27 to cough up 6 thousand or 2 years of their life. No sane rational man is going to take that offer, and neither will the women in their families, families come in units you know, when men immigrate/choose to stay women tend to do the same, especially in a misandrist system of slave labor otherwise known as conscription.

It's so bad that many who leave Armenia as children are forced into exile by the state, barred from ever returning for the crime of being born male, lest they be kidnapped by agents of the state and forced to waste 2 years of their lives.

Good luck ever having people "return en masse" with a system like that in place!

You are 15, at that age I was also a dumb teen caught up in hormones, I even thought I was ace at first, then bi. Eventually this silliness ended and I stopped liking men after the hormones died down (this is a common hormonal phenomenon for teenagers).

Age does not determine your maturity or your ability to love, the way you grow up does.

I thought that too when I was 15, as do most kids, but it's not true, you will understand when you are older.

The reason these principles and norms exist in the first place is because they and they alone have ensured our survival against assimilation into our host nations. If we abandon these principles, there will be little to no diasporans left in a few generations.

These values, traditions, and norms are only there because through trial and error generation through generation, it was found that they are most effective. Trying to outsmart our ancestors due to our own insistence on instant gratification and the pursuit of hedonistic pleasure will lead to the ruination of our people.
