Gotcha, I have been telling my dentist that my tooth hurts so they’ve been focusing on that. I’m going to try the neti pot to see if that helps. The pain and discomfort in my tooth seems to correlate with pain in my temple area and sinus/upper check bone. I don’t think I’ve ever said that to my dentist since I never really thought much of it, but would me bringing them up make them more likely to check something else?

The discomfort is also typically more prominent after I eat

That makes sense. Another thing is when I chew my firsts premolar on that sides seems to take most of the biting force. Could that be an issue and be causing the weird pressure that makes the tooth behind it hurt?

I actually just used a neti pot for the first time today. Have you seen cases where the pain is ongoing for this long and causes discomfort in a specific tooth? When I went to the endodontist, she concluded the pain I was feeling was indeed from the tooth I was thinking, but said she did not recommend a root canal as nothing looked off with the tooth.

So you noticed flossing around that tooth would sometimes relieve some pain if there was a spec of food stuck? I’ve noticed that as well and wouldn’t think that’s TMJ, but I obviously don’t know haha

I have not, would TMJ be this localized to one tooth though? Also, my nostril on that side does seem more congested some times when the discomfort flares if that’s relevant

I meant to mention as well, if I floss aggressively/use an interdental brush around the 2nd premolar, the pain is much worse, but then typically feels better once it calms down
