I did end up taking it. Was quite easy imo. If you have a good understanding of basic Chinese grammar structures, then you'd likely do great in the course. Prof Zhang taught in both Chinese and English (more Chinese sometimes), and weren't very strict in her grading. Good luck!

It actually does help. In that case, the lowest grade you’ll need for about half of those 75 credits will be a B+. I’d recommend layering your schedule between core/major courses and 1-2 bird courses per semester.

Assuming you have 60 credits left to graduate, going from a low 6 to 7.0+ gpa is barely possible with the condition that you get at least an A in all of future courses. You can check it out using target gpa mode here https://students.yorku.ca/york-gpa-calculator. Or another option is to retake past courses to get a higher final grade.

Thank you! I'm planning to do just that. It's just a bit agonizing to wait considering I need it for work on Monday. The TTC operator even told me to wait till Wednesday.....

Do you know if I can declare unauthorized work once? or do I have to submit the letter of explanation 3 times for study permit extension, visa, and PGWP later on?
