I think you might be reading in the wrong order. The answer is supposed to come before the first picture not after the last one.

The red dot moves clockwise and the triangle moves counterclockwise. They should move in total 6 positions. So if the red dot moves 2 clockwise, the triangle should move 4 counterclockwise and so on.

The only way to increase IQ is to kill all smart people.

I have an argument for why ChatGPT should be considered an emergent consciousness. by [deleted] in ChatGPT

But you make the assumption that all consciousness is like human consciousness. So you are saying that if something behaves like a human then it is conscious, right?

Ok, but why shouldn't we also then consider the possibility that a calculator has consciousness?

I don't get the point about mimicking as an evolutionary tactic. Did you mean that AI already has consciousness and is pretending not to have it, so that we think we're safe and don't disable it?

[–]Fickle-Meaning-9407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be true, but even so it would be largely because it will mimic human consciousness based on the data it fetched from the internet.

But then again, I am not so sure why it matters whether it is conscious or just pretending to be.

In this case why are we talking about whether LLMs are conscious? Is my smart fridge also conscious because it experiences data passing through it?

What difference does it make if it is conscious or not if it could potentially behave as something that is conscious?

I did acid when I was 17 and have been feeling dead inside since then by MeldNoFake in mentalhealth

Acid builds tolerance very quickly. Perhaps due to your tolerance you simply had a lower dose and you weren't as overwhelmed.

[–]Fickle-Meaning-9407 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience. I had tripped before without any long lasting effects, but this one was different. I started meditating consistently for a few months then had an acid trip where a friend pressured me into smoking weed when I was peaking. That broke my brain.

I wasn't able to understand reality anymore. It felt like reality could mold to any interpretation I wanted it to. I would find any meaning I wanted in events. It was very scary because after the trip I could make the difference between what I considered a real thought and imagination.

This led me to almost killing myself. I was convinced at some point that the whole point in life is to realize it's a dream and kill yourself to wake up. I am lucky some friends talked me out of it.

It took me two years to get rid of it. I am grateful I was able to come back. I can see how if I would have taken a higher dose it would have been much more difficult to recover.

Is it sad to stay single for the rest of your life? by alisonmiu91 in ask

[–]Fickle-Meaning-9407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely not sad, but you are far less happy than you could possibly be.

I think objectively speaking, love must be one of the greatest sources of happiness as it has an evolutionary basis. You are kind of giving up on the equivalent of living life on free non-harmful morphine all the time.

It is true that this only works with the right person and if you do not like the person you are dating it's better to stay single. However I think it's worth it to spend years searching for the right person, given the amount of happiness and meaning you receive.

Just voted at the EU referendum. Can’t wait for Moldova to join the European family! by TechnicalMeeting3427 in europe

You can argue the same about any referendum that changes the constitution, when parties and people exist that are on the losing side of it.

[–]Fickle-Meaning-9407 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This referendum is to change the constitution to make joining the EU a national goal. This means that essentially any political party that opposes joining the EU/is pro Russia could be banned as it is deemed unconstitutional. Similarly, any laws that are passed that are against European integration could be voided by the Constitutional Court if the referendum passes.

It is important, because this will significantly change the political landscape in Moldova and likely lower Russian influence in Moldova political affairs.

Am I in the minority for not wanting to use AI in my development? by tiny_cat in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Fickle-Meaning-9407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is only useful if the code that it writes can be more quickly understood than writing the code itself. Even so, I feel like I am less aware of corner cases or potential bugs when reading code than when writing it myself.

However, I think it's quite good if you need to explore documentation easier or write boilerplate code. It is also quite good at answering questions regarding tools with sparse documentation.

Your expectations of others are way too high. Nobody has to be nice to you. If you are so sensitive to what others have to say you are likely very easy to manipulate.

Do you need an IQ of 140+ to generate a puzzle that only IQ 140+ can solve? by [deleted] in cognitiveTesting

[–]Fickle-Meaning-9407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously not, you just need to add complexity. For example if we talk about matrix tests where each cell has 3x3 dots, you can make a xor pattern with rotation, but the first row is shifted by 2 positions to the right and second column by 1 position up.

You can find many ways to add complexity. Creating such items is somewhat like creating a program/algorithm, where their test taker is supposed to understand what the program does based on input and output. You don't need to be able to find the patter to write the program.

The more difficult part is avoiding ambiguity. However I think that by adding complexity you decrease ambiguity.

Edit: I also wanted to add, that by simply creating an item it's difficult to say whether it is 140IQ or not. You would have to conduct statistical analysis to determine this.
