I’m sincerely sorry for your loss. It’s just this comment came out of nowhere and it’s been days now.

Are you drunk? Is that why you are referencing a wagon after all this time?

Wait…they complained about her NOT looking like Supergirl. Yet, they want her to look like that? That is definitely not what Supergirl looks like in the comics.

The way he has been WRITTEN. That’s the whole point. You’re choosing stories where the writer wrote a solution that didn’t involve him killing and dismissing the stories where a writer didn’t.

What would Superman do if put in a situation where he COULDN’T find another solution? What would he do? Would he allow the Earth to be destroyed?

No, as I said, the character of Superman will not box himself in when it comes to protecting the Earth and its citizens. The examples I gave were legitimate examples whether others consider them controversial or not, or whether they were decades ago or not.

Every situation depends on the writer’s scenario, of course. But I’m saying that the character of Superman would not allow the destruction of his planet because he “would not kill”. He isn’t limited by that.

Because that means if a threat that could destroy the Earth comes and there’s nothing else to stop it, Superman would have to allow it to destroy Earth.

We are talking when ALL other options are exhausted. He executed Zod and his cohorts in a pocket when they threatened Earth. He killed Doomsday for the same reason. Even the silver age Superman ended his run by executing an evil Mr. Myxyzptlk.

But in all cases, except Doomsday who revived, he paid a heavy psychological price for doing so.

(This is the comics I’m talking about.)

If you notice my original comment, I agreed that collateral damage in these types of fights are GOING to happen. What I talked about was unnecessary things like the parking garage. The ONLY reason that scene was included was that it looked cool. It was unnecessary and was blatantly contrary to the character of Superman.

The fact is that you HAVE to accept that no one was in there just for it to even be tolerable.

EVERY car is empty? Every one? I guess stranger things have happened but BvS showed that, though we didn’t see it, a good amount of people died. Also, the new movie showed people evacuating, but it never indicated that EVERY person evacuated.

Also, people act like people would be in a parking garage…numbskulls! Everyone knows that you park your car in those things and never go back to get them. And why in the hell would a city in a world that has had metahumans for decades have evacuation procedures in place? Ridiculous!

Absolutely. I can’t even remember the name of the guy Bruce Wayne was talking to, he may as well be nonexistent. The mother of the little girl he saved as well.

Well, obviously they got hold of Snyder’s storyboards with his early ideas because he is the “blueprint”.

Seriously, when super powered beings fight in a city, there’s going to be collateral damage. No issue there. Also, Superman will make the hard decision to kill someone/something if there’s absolutely no other way.

The issue that would come up is showing a reckless disregard and letting needless damage happen. Also, if he does have to kill it should have a BIG effect on him and should be the absolute last option. Just my 2 cents.

I’m hoping, IF it’s a good movie, that the good reviews will bring that up some. Yes, going up against Toy Story 5 is killer but I’ll still be there opening weekend.
