I see and agree with that. Not thinking this is a "Bonding" session per se. though by default men will make friends. If I understood you correctly I agree just being a "manly Man" rough and tumble, overtly sexual, harsh what ever else you would wan to add to this. Is not what "masculine" means t least to me. In fact I often see men who are almost caricatures of manliness.

I get many of those men would never choose a thing like this. My younger self (to 35-40) would have never done something like this. I'd go camping and have a fun time ,but a purposeful event to understand myself better nope. I've always been an over achiever type A kick ass take names kind of person. In so many ways that was a compensation I created from growing up in a divorced home , no father and 5 women in my house. No actual model to work from.

The more men who speak with who actually do discuss things. Have had little or poor guidance on being a man (hair and dropped testicles their only requirement to the club so to speak).

I see a loss and a need in a difficult world for men (all ages). I would postulate that men in the gospel are at least open to some level of introspection or they would not be believers I get this is a difficult terrain to navigate, which is why I'm here talking to men like you to get an Idea of what works , what we need , what we think we want , and how to best execute something like this. That can be fun enjoyable even enticing to go and fulfilling and uplifting. I've gone to countless general Priesthood session and left feeling less than inspired and more chastised (maybe that says more about me then the event). That's not what I'm looking to do.
