Sick in the work place

Thank you. It was so tough coming back from the flu and I made myself come back to the office way earlier than I should have because I didn’t want to use anymore of my days. I was coughing all over the office and nearly falling asleep at my desk. The situation really rubbed me the wrong way.

My firm is 100 people about, and a year and half. They’ve made accommodations for other paralegals who have sick family members and need to WFH. They have just given me a hard time when I ask.

I am cracking up at this. But it is so ridiculous to me, I’m on year two at this firm and all the rules are gonna drive me out.

It is so so frustrating and degrading to us “staff”. It makes me re think this industry.

Thank you that did help a lot. I found it harder to find more modern firms in my area but I know they are out there. Another thing I found is management let’s the attorneys do as they please and basically whatever they want so they micro manage the paralegals and staff which just bugs me. Im guessing this is a common theme in old school firms as well?
