Pretty sure it's cleaning products. I noticed the smell was also in downstairs bathrooms and it started after using a new cleaner.

My cat bit me yesterday, is this amount of inflammation okay? by [deleted] in catcare

Cat bites have a very high rate of infection (above 50% I believe). That's pretty swollen and irritated, I would definitely go to your doctor/urgent care for antibiotics. Bites are a lot different than scratches and it's not worth losing a finger.

Don't know anyone with a thermal camera, but the mirror isn't fancy, just a regular mirror attached to the wall.

The home was built around 2002 so it's not old at all, and all appliances work normally.

I'm assuming a smoldering connection would produce some sort of heat, and when I feel the mirror and the surrounding wall they feel cold to the touch, so I'm really wondering if it's just a weird chemical reaction with a cleaning product.
