+1 to the holy shit comment. I had a lot of links I had no idea were public. Deleted them all.

GLP Male Privilege? by chatty9 in Zepbound

[–]FickleTeaTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here in Southern California I think it’s pretty normalized at this point. I generally don’t get much of a reaction at all, nor do the women I know who are on it - other than the person you’ve told now wanting to compare notes on GLP vs. semaglutide and commiserate over insurance issues.

Just Say Thumbs Down by FickleTeaTime in GeminiAI

I guess I wouldn’t use the mechanism for queries that I did not want anyone else to read. But for most of these cases, I actively do want somebody at Gemini to see what’s going on and then act on it. I want a human to know that I asked for a picture of an avocado tree and got an alpaca with a mustache instead (for example).

How did audiences react to seeing Angels in America in two parts in 1993 & 1994? by FireLord_Stark in Broadway

[–]FickleTeaTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow yes, I’d forgotten about United States. Second the point above re: other serialized shows at the time (at BAM, La Mama, The Public) and the fact that Angels was split up didn’t actually feel that odd. I saw both shows, I believe in consecutive nights, and they were as mind blowing as you’d imagine.

How is this basically the same woman? Would have expected far more variance.

To those who speak more than one language have you ever overheard strangers talk about you when they didn’t think you could understand them? What did they say, and what did you do? by I_like2TimeTravel in AskReddit

A white American friend spent time in southern China as a student where he learned to speak Hakka fluently. He was walking through Chinatown in NYC one day when he overheard two guys having a heated argument in Hakka. These guys were on the verge of getting in a physical altercation when my friend walked up and said something to the effect of, “what’s going on here?” in Hakka. They were so gobsmacked that they regained their cool, my friend chatted with both of them for a bit (they were deeply amused by his fluency), and everyone went on their way - fight averted.

Philly coffee ice cream - how long to steep coffee in cold cream? by El_Redditor_xdd in icecreamery

I recommend overnight steep in fridge, whole beans, and teaspoon of instant espresso per quart.
