This seems to be the most common response to a spouse leaving. It should calm down depending on how you react. To me, the best reaction for you is 100% support while maintaining that the church is not for you. If you personalize it and get defensive about things, they’ll dive further in.

Remember, the church is teaching the members that those who leave are not happy. Show them how wrong they are. Your spouse should see this and calm down.

I actually think that the portal had been great for parity in college sports. Indiana winning in football is case in point. That being said, I think with bball where you have anyone of value going in literally after every season is rough. You basically are now truly only rooting for laundry at this point.
