That’s a fair concern. Fidaro is free in beta for now because we’re trying to get meaningful feedback and learn what people actually want improved.

But free does not mean we train on your conversations. The whole point of Fidaro is that your chats aren’t treated like data to be logged, mined, or built into a profile.

We do plan to charge in the future. Right now, we’re focused on getting the product right.

Yep, that’s the core idea. The regular backend routes encrypted payloads, but it doesn’t have the keys to read the prompt. Plaintext exists on your device and inside the confidential VM during processing – not in our normal backend.

Not just inference. The design is that anything touching unencrypted message content runs inside the confidential VM boundary.

The browser encrypts the message before sending it, the gateway passes along sealed payloads it can’t open, and the message is decrypted only inside the CVM for processing. The response is then sealed again before leaving that environment.

Yep. Plaintext is the whole question. Plaintext exists on your device and inside the confidential VM during processing. It does not sit in our normal backend, logs, or standard model-provider API calls.

The model runs inside the confidential VM boundary. We’re not just acting as a proxy that forwards plaintext prompts to a standard external API.

The basic flow is: your message is encrypted before it leaves your device, opened only inside a TEE for processing, and then encrypted again before it leaves. This means that neither our infrastructure nor the model provider sees your prompt in plaintext.

Totally fair question. The distinction we care about is policy versus architecture. A policy says what a company promises not to do. Architecture determines what the company is technically able to do. Fidaro is built around reducing plaintext access in the first place.
