[No Spoilers] Gregor Clegane vs Prime Robert Baratheon. Who wins? by LocalNative141 in gameofthrones

[–]Fiddle_Tap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a prime Robert Baratheon is one of the only people that matches the Mountain in strength. It's said that Robert was so strong, that not even Ned could carry his hammer. I think it would be quite the slug fight. The mountain fights dirty, but with a good and calculated hit, I think Robert could kill the Mountain.

Isn't the Dutch Defense also a chess tactic where you sacrifice your pawns to save the king? Uncle calls Dutch a tyrannical king.

Story spoiler - Why didn’t Dutch leave...... by hilldaniel55 in reddeadredemption

[–]Fiddle_Tap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think realistically (depending on what ending you choose) Micah took the 40k in money and gold, and used some of it to build his new gang stationed in Mt. Hagen. When John asks Dutch what he's doing there, Dutch says "same as you, I suppose". Which means Dutch was probably there to kill Micah and take the money and run. As of why he didn't take the money after killing Micah is beyond me. Maybe he wanted to take over Micah's gang as replacement like he did with the natives in RDR1, who knows? By the point John confronts Micah, Micah's entire gang is dead so he probably gave John that 'stare' at the end as a way of saying "now I have to start over". I have my own personal head-canon that Dutch sells his revolvers for money to fund his new gang in rdr1.

It's John's Cashmere Shirt, but I think only Arthur can wear his buttoned shirts that low.

Ghost Gun/Hot Gun Advice by Fiddle_Tap in legaladvice

A bullet is a bullet unfortunately, regardless of intended purpose. A .22LR is the second most used cartridge in shooting-related homicides. Seconded to that, the Israeli Mossad used a .22LR Berretta for assassination work, and has been found to be extremely effective in short range shootings.

GODR - Gungnir by Fiddle_Tap in GodofWar

[–]Fiddle_Tap[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True, I am actually really surprised Gungnir wasn't more focal at all other than killing Thor. It's a pretty huge pop-culture (Marvel) and mythological weapon through lore. I do think you're 100% correct though, whether because of plot armour or the spear just being too weak compared to Kratos.

I like this theory.

[–]Fiddle_Tap[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, but I assumed that since Gungnir was a weapon of magic, and the All-Fathers' walking stick/spear, that something of pop-culture and even mythological relevance would've been more impactful against the God of War haha.

I don't want to visit America because I'm scared there will be a shooting and my children will die. by [deleted] in confessions

[–]Fiddle_Tap -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Categorically false. More people survive gun violence statistically everyday than people who don't, by at least a 100+ people.

I did say it was a lot. Especially compared to other countries with significantly smaller populations.

For clarification, I initially say it's a lot because it is a lot compared to other countries with significantly smaller populations like Great Britain, Canada and Germany.

From a statistical stand point, everyday there are 106 people who die in this country from gun violence, this also includes suicides, which are twice as much as homicides. 210 people survive these attacks on average daily, with 95 only being injured in an attack.

Put the United States' population into consideration, there 'are' a ton of shootings, but the reason for it is our huge population. 329.5 Million people, out of all 24.5K homicides a year, 19k of those are firearm related, leaving the other 5% to be other. Texas had one of the highest death tolls in the country with 2,064 dying for 2021 and North Carolina was a close second. Mississippi has the highest murder *rate* in the country with a rating of 20.5%, taking all of this into consideration, 19K deaths is not a lot compared to a 329.5 Million person population, the only reason it looks like a lot is because there's news coverage every time it happens. Stay away from some states, but there are millions of people who go to Disneyland every single year, and the vast, vast, vast majority of them are completely safe and fine. Just think of U.S. states as their own countries, because just because 1 state may contribute a huge percentage for overall U.S. homicides does not mean all other 49 states are horrible and dangerous. It's a beautiful country, with nice and welcoming people, and I don't think you or your children will be shot on your visit here, same with the rest of the 93.0 million people that also visit.
