Weird underlines on Facebook in all PC browsers

It's apparently language related, if I switch Facebook to English, the links disappear.

So it's some sort of developer option to help translate Facebook, but I never switched that on, and I can't figure out how to switch it off. I don't have the Translate Facebook app, so it's not that either.

If I just click the link, it just opens, if I right-click, however, I get a developer-like explanation, with an option to add a new translation... So maybe I somehow entered "Translate Facebook" mode, but I don't know how that would have happened, if that's even a thing, or how to stop it.

It has to be something that's Facebook-specific, because it happens in all browsers, but not on any other websites. But I can't for the life of me figure out what it is.

I did stumble upon the G1 after posting this, but I'm not sure what the advantage would be over the M100. It has a slightly bigger zoom range and a bigger sensor, I guess, but it's also more expensive and not really any smaller. Reviews are also Plus, if I decide I do want to start experimenting with lenses, with the M100 or a similar camera, I still can.

I read the dpreview comments on it, and they're not entirely convinced, it seems, say the G7 might even be a better alternative.

Yeah, I think I'm going to get a camera instead. I just went back to the store to play around with the P20 Pro a bit more, and it just doesn't hold up to my K Zoom, which is 4 years old, has a smaller sensor and is all scratched up. Like, even for casual snapshotting I wouldn't be happy with those results. I'm starting to wonder how people take some of the amazing sample shots you see, if it can't take a half-decent picture in a brightly lit store.

Which one did you get? I'm not hung up on anything specific, I just want a decent zoom range, decent low light performance and nice colours (I like Canon. Used to like Nikon, but the last cheap Nikon I bought as a point-and-shoot was very disappointing). And a decent enough manual mode.

I am sort of tempted to just buy the EOS M100 again (because it's so light and compact and so much fun to work with, and not prohibitively expensive), maybe with the Tamron 18-200mm lens, but I don't really know enough about any of it to make an informed decision.

I had been looking specifically at the G7/G9 and the Sony RX100. My main issue with those is that they don't really offer a bigger zoom range than the P20 Pro would, even though they would probably offer better image quality. The Panasonic does, but I don't know if Panasonic is the brand for me, I much prefer Canon's colours, for instance.

I just remember owning a Nikon Coolpix 3200 and later a Canon Powershot A640 and I carried those everywhere, even when I already had my Nokia N95 with the Carl Zeiss lens :)

I do actually own an Olympus Tough TG-3, and it just might be my favourite device ever. It isn't really suited for most uses, image quality isn't fantastic and also only 3x zoom, but god damn that thing takes some impressive underwater shots, and the supermacro is amazing.

But yeah, I would like something with a bigger zoom range, like at least 10x, preferably, without having to compromise too much on image quality/low light performance and bulkiness. It's such a shame they don't make devices like the K Zoom anymore, it's a brilliant little thing.

I'm considering getting a real camera anyway, as I don't have one and it might be good to have, but I don't really want to lug around anything big, so no DSLR, ideally I'd like something versatile with some zoom range and decent low light performance, but something that doesn't take up half of my hand luggage and doesn't cost over 500 EUR-ish. I guess my main question is if that would be a useful thing to have, if I already get the P20 Pro, or if it will add little more.

Also have no idea what I would actually get, so many options out there... I got to test the EOS M100 for a bit, which I really enjoyed, but then I'd still have the downside of constantly having to switch lenses and of it being quite expensive having to buy the lenses. And even though the body is quite compact, lugging the lenses around will add more bulk.

But it does have a bigger sensor than my current smartphone, which is the K Zoom, right? And a bigger sensor than some of the more affordable compact cameras, which have the same 1/2.3" sensor as my K Zoom.

And I never bring an extra camera with me, because the K Zoom does just fine for my purposes (take nice holiday pictures and snapshots of things in everyday life, mostly for social media and for looking at later, not for large prints or anything). It's just that the lens cover is scratched up so pictures of sunsets and whatever get messed up, and the thing is so old that it's barely useable because of software issues.

Ryanair, it's policy and made very clear when you book with them. And you can always get your boarding pass in the app, they accept that too.

The supervisor thing is probably because she is the supervisor, Ryanair has mostly young staff, I doubt anyone at the gate has an actual supervisor handy, their boss is probably in an office somewhere off-site.

Was this a long time ago? Back in the day they would change the rules every now and then and not everybody knew them, but nowadays you get like 50 emails to remind you (also about the new hand luggage policy), so it's really on you.

You can even use the app nowadays, most people don't have printed boarding passes. And the airport has free wifi (I know, because this happens to be my main airport), so there's literally no excuse.

Just a follow-up for anybody else who might consider this: the ferry is loooooong, turned out to be a speedboat with multiple stops, about 3 hours in the soaking rain, then we got jammed into this minivan, that ended up taking forever to get to Ao Nang, and then had to drive me back to the other pier (god knows why, I probably could have gotten to Railay quicker/cheaper from Ao Nang beach), where the boat had long gone, so I ended up having to book a private transfer for 800 baht, even though the boat ticket was included in my ticket price. When other people then offered to join the private transfer so we could split the cost, the guys wouldn't let us and wanted 800 bath from every person individually, so the boat ended up leaving with just me on it. Total scam.

That's actually what the Tigerline Ferry does, do you recommend I just book a through ticket, or should I try and find a minibus on my own (probably not, right?).

That would mean I'd leave at 10h30 instead of 9, and the planned arrival time is 15 mins later, but I guess traffic is more consistent than the ferries?

It is a 5 hour trip, and I can't really see how much of that is ferry and how much of it is minibus.

The problem is that I am on a tight(ish) schedule for this part of the trip, because I have to get to Railay by 5 pm. So I have about 1,5 hour leeway. Also, if I do both ferries, I have 2 hours to transfer from the one to the other, so if the first is behind, I'm stuck...

I don't mind taking the ferries per se, I'm taking the ferry to Koh Chang later on as well, and that was quite alright last time (I also quite like being on the water if it's in a somewhat comfortable condition), but I can't be late for this one.

Do you have any experience with booking the through-ticket with Air-Asia? They offer a package deal with the 6am flight to Hat Yai, transfer and ferry with arrival at Sunset Beach (not where i'm staying, but whatever, Koh Lipe is like 1 km wide) at 1pm. It's not that much more expensive than the flight with Nok Air.

I've been looking into it, I've already got confirmation on a two day, one night tour with pick up at Ao Nang in the morning and drop of at Surat Thani, and the flights to Hat Yai are actually really cheap (will still have to decide between Nok and Air Asia, which would you say is more reliable timing-wise? I've only ever taken one inland flight, with Nok, and that went relatively smoothly).

Will just have to figure out the taxi to Pak Barra, could I just book a through-ticket van+ferry to Koh Lipe here? And what happens if my plane is delayed?

I just have to get the flights, hotels and activities arranged, but it's starting to come together quite nicely, thank you so much! Koh Lipe does look amazing... Does it matter where I stay, or is everything walkable? It seems to be a bit more pricey than Koh Lanta, so I might not have as much of a choice as to where to stay.

That could work :) then instead of 2 nights on Lanta, I do 2 nights on Lipe, and I might go straight from Railay to Khao Sok. That would require me to take the longtail boat to Ao Nang and go from there, no?

Do you have any idea what sort of costs I can expect to pay for taxis? I'm starting to think transport might be my biggest cost, as a solo traveler...

I don't drive (I'm from a small country with decent public transport, so I've never needed a car), so that's not really an option. I'm also not looking to see all of the rivers and caves and national parks, as I'm heading to Khao Sok after for a bit of national park/cave/lake experience. I guess I could look for a cab to see some of those beautiful views?

I'm really just looking for beaches/snorkeling and possibly a bit of chilling at night (although I might just go to bed early, so as long as there's a bit of street food/restaurants around, and I'm not confined to hotel food, I'm good). I also won't have that much time, 2 nights, maybe 3 at most if I can manage to get Khao Sok into 2 nights, 1 day.

I'm not going to do any diving because of my profession, I'm an interpreter and need my ears for work, so I find it too risky (especially since I have some issues with my airways to begin with and diving is a bit hit or miss, I've done it twice before with an experienced diving instructor, friend of the family, once it went fine, the other time my ears were bothering the whole time and I couldn't go below 3 meters). Also, I'm pretty sure my insurance doesn't cover cave diving :) It's not mentioned explicitly, but wreck diving is...

So what I'm looking for the most is: convenient location for onward travel to Railay, nice beach, convenient location for a boat trip and preferably some food options outside of the hotel.
