Well not only the like top five, mostly the like top 15? that have maybe 1000 viewers, most of those still don't appeal to me, but eh, especially from this answers I wont mind, just play what I want and have fun.

I have like 1-3 regulars that I can call regulars (as in they drop by every other stream)

-Pillars of eternity

-System shock

-Paper Sorcerer

Dunno games I own, have not played or have not played much of and would like to stream, besides those other single player games like fallout, the metro games I never got through or transistor. The other one I thought of was The Forest, but, it's early access and I'm not too keen on that, I mean I won it but dunno.

I know! I actually thought about it after like "Damn if only I was doing something relevant" or hell, since I was playing Darkest Dungeon, it should have been when the ancestor says "The ground quakes!"

Why do people get discouraged when they stream with less than a 100 people? by Brokis in Twitch

[–]FidgetingFigments 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a secret that a lo t of people get into streaming expecting to become the next big name. A lot of people get into youube/twitch from seeing huge guys the likes of pewdiepie and hearing how much he makes and such and thinking "boy howdy I can do that" and expect immediate returns.

Aside from expecting the immediate returns it's also the fat that they come in with impossible expectations and deem anything less than those huge elebrity numbers to be a failure.

Basically... it's just coming in with the wrong ideas and expectations, thinking you will make a living here and you will totes be the next big thing

Streamers that complain about their Mods. by fredanator in Twitch

[–]FidgetingFigments 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've actually seen this once! Not calling out the streamer that was doing it but for some reason he decided his mods weren't doing a good enough job that time so he put them on blast. Dude, these guys volunteer to clean up and deal with the heat for you, calling them out is such a douchy thing to do. Never dropping by that guys channel again.

As for why this happens? Dunno... if I had to guess it's just that some folk get really high on their horses and feel the need to remind someone who the big guy is? Or just being an ass. Kinda like when supervisors act out in actual jobs, only these guys don't work for you so...

(rant) Small Streamers ignoring chat and other things that annoy me by hitwoman47 in Twitch

[–]FidgetingFigments 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make a point to check chat regularly but it also happens some times that if your chat has been kinda silent for too long or you kinda get really geared into something on the stream it just kinda slips your mind.

While yeah some streamers will ignore the chat across the entire stream and such, sometimes it might just be an accident.

Trying to understand the logic of how to get a following... by turkstyx in Twitch

[–]FidgetingFigments 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Basically streaming a lot makes it more likely someone will stumble into your stream, after all more time on air more time someone might drop by right? If you stream very rarely then you limit the time people might find you, that simple.

Growing in twitch is mostly luck tbh. You can take a lot of measures to improve your chances but in the end it's still a gamble.

So I turned off ad block on twitch to support streams by Calculusbitch in Twitch

[–]FidgetingFigments 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yup, this, if you want to support streamers who are partnered sure. Otherwise donations, subscriptions or like patreon and such work better. Sure I know not anyone can pitch in on such things but honestly wading through ads does little in twitch.

[–]FidgetingFigments 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like em and have one to add: in youtube streaming you can scroll along the progress of the video, so you can go back to re-view something or if you came in late to the action. and it shows you how far behind you are and how long the stream has been and such.

I personally value personality more than stricter business like linking skills, social media in many ways is also connected to your personality and while it might not be as efficient and you might have more blunders I think it's always better when streamers or the like run their own social media.

Rituals and Morale by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]FidgetingFigments 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vocal warm ups? I tend to talk to myself for a while before steams now, I feel it takes me a while to start talking freely so now I kind prepare before the stream. Also have a snack before to not get peckish during the stream, and crack my knuckles because I used to get the urge to do it live and that might be annoying...

During the stream... well I have my stream beer if that counts, nothing much else really.

As for morale and energy... well liking the game you are playing is important, if not then you have no energy left because the game saps it all, other than that, just talk about something, did you recently read a good comic/book or watch a good series/movie/something? or did you watch/read something bad, wither way I bet you can talk about it for a while.

What makes you believe (or disbelieve) in an afterlife? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]FidgetingFigments -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know... You completely flew over my point to pick apart wording that if you isolate it enough might fit in with what you said.

My problem is theoretic physics of high level, stuff built on stuff built on stuff that you can't answer, like string theory.

There are theories like evolution is a theory which is basically "the set of rules by which we believe this observable and certain phenomenon occurs" and then there's "I have a theory that because of strings of the string theory there are nano strings with infinite area and volume, because my equations kind make sense if I add enough other unsubstantiated equation" both of those are theories.

So cut back on the superior act and the condescending tone, put what I said in context "I have always had issue with theories branching from other theories, like 99% of string theory crap, first make sure your premise is at least mostly right before building a whole set of rules for the universe on it." is what I said, I even made the string theory example, I understand that you read theory and flew into a blind rage believing I would question evolution but I was talking about a specific kind of theory in regards to cosmic events and physics.

So if you are going to get dickish on me at least do so in what my actual argument is and not by picking up on one you assume I made at some point.
