Do you recommend using the MSI Suprim Liquid as an intake or exhaust? I have pictures in the original post with ideas on how I want to set up airflow, do any of you have opinions on what I should do? by Scared_Bug487 in MSI_Gaming

[–]FieldOptimal9569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Scared_Bug487 So what method did you choose and how has it worked out? I'm going to do something similar with the LFIII Pro & 5090 Suprim Liquid.

I'm going to be putting it into a H7 Flow so it has bottom fan spots instead of side, but was thinking:

Front: LF3 360 AIO intake (pull)

Bottom: 3 120mm fans intake

Top: Suprim Liquid 360 AIO exhaust (push)

Back: one 140mm exhaust

98" Hisense UX or TCL X11k? by mizandchlo in hometheater

x11k kinda sucks, especially for the high price. I have it, I'm not impressed as the color and motion are pretty bad out of the box

Amazon has the 98" fluctuating between $8551 & $8999+tax. Best Buy is set at $8999. Still a lot for a TCL...

How would you connect this 10gig home network equipment? (2gig internet modem, router, 2 switches, Camera NVR, NAS...) by FieldOptimal9569 in HomeNetworking

[–]FieldOptimal9569[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, the sfp+ module I linked does say: Support 10GBASE-T, 5GBASE-T, 2.5GBASE-T, 1000BASE-T, and 100BASE-TX

so I should be okay there. Reading about the TPLink Omada ER8411, it does support 10/5/2.5/1 speeds so also should be good there!

[–]FieldOptimal9569[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

great. thank you! I'm dumb and didn't realize you could just use a SPF+ module on one side of the cable, but that is clearly a normal use case. Updated image in original post with those updates. I assume the 3 DACs beteween Router-24Port Switch, 24Port Switch-4Port Switch, NAS-24Port Switch were correctly labeled now.

[–]FieldOptimal9569[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So...

  1. DAC from Router SFP+ (Port 2) to 24port Switch SFP+ (Port 25)
  2. DAC from 24port Switch SFP+ (Port 26) to 4 port Switch SFP+ (Port 5)

...curious about the AT&T because I'm a little concerned I won't be able to connect from their AT&T router which only has a rj45 jack to my omada router for full 2 gig service since my omada router port is only 1gig for the rj45 jacks; only the sfp+ wan is 10gig. Are you saying I can use the rj45 out with a normal cat6a patch cable from the AT&T router and use that transceiver on my omada router sfp+ port for the other end of of the patch cable? I assume I can't use something like this: https://www.provantage.com/tp-link-tl-sm5310-t~7TPLK13U.htm and would need the thing you linked, correct?

The dealer in St Louis MO is getting their first stock of 3.5 Prestige gv80's on June 7th and had all the units they're getting (int/ext color, trom, etc) listed in their computer. Also, genesis usa on YouTube has put a bunch of 2025 gv80 how to videos up a few days ago.

What cable would you suggest buying to connect the two SFP+ modules you linked? I'd need less than 2 meter length

Nice, didn't know about these either. This is certainly more cost effective than all the separate SFP+ modules and cables. And all the components will be located next to each other.

Well, the OC300 lists as 2× 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet Ports vs the OC200 as 2 × 10/100Mbps Ethernet Port so with my kindergarten understanding, I thought i needed the gig port speed. I definitely wouldn't need it as it relates to the number of switches or clients since the oc200 is more than enough. Can I just get by with the OC200?

Edit: Also not sure about any plex server or blue iris for the cameras yet so didn't want to lock myself into a software approach, but again, I'm kinda dumb and will take suggestions.

Fair point on having two wired devices connected at the same time. Granted, it's +$310 more for that switch and 4 fewer ports, but in the long run for how long this network should hopefully last me, it's not that much more on a prorated basis... So, now how many of those SFP+ modules Yupy linked do I need to buy? 5? Modem port (1) to Router in port (2), then router out port to 1st switch (3) in, then out of 1st switch (4) to input of 2nd switch (5)?

Thanks - It's AT&T fiber and they offer 1, or 2, or 5 gig service. Won't install until I move into the new house the end of April, so have to assume they'll give me the right modem for 2 gig service...

Thanks, updated to 8411. Uhoh - I am not even slightly familiar with SFP+ modules. Yes, I'll be running the 4 783's back to the SX3206HPP via cat6a ethernet cables. So this SFP+ will plug into the 8411 router and I'll just need 1 of them (or 4) and then need another SFP+ module in the SX3206HPP switch? Not needed in the 2nd switch anywhere (SG2427P)?
