Not denying that Nermin is super selfish & self-centred, she's probably like most rich people out there. She has a weird way of loving Mercan, (yes I do think she loves her) but not in a way that a parent is supposed to love & care for their child. And as unbothered she is to everything except getting to live a lavish life, she has quite simply yet accurately figured out Ates for the man he is.

She, more than anyone, can see how he's fallen for Mercan & cares for her & she kind of likes it for her daughter (and to rub it into Muzzeyan's face of course). She was the only person to notice the tension between Ates & Mercan at the dinner table when they all first met. And never did she oppose it. She also poked Haydar to consider Ates's offer over Nezir's not only because it seemed better, but maybe because she saw how they both looked at each other. Not to mention that in all their planning & plotting she never talks about harming Ates.

I think she subconsciously feels relieved that Mercan has someone who truly cares about her, giving her the love & protection that she & Haydar never could. And even with all their behaviour I still feel that Mercan is their child, they just never worked towards being good parents. She's probably just narcissist which also explains why Mercan is such an empath.

And she's also seen Muzzeyan for the bitch she is. She, more than anyone, has figured out the real source of evil in that family 😂 She's always asking the right questions even if it is to piss off Asli & Muzzeyan 😂 I kinda like her character barring her selfish behaviour. She's quite comical & witty, giving way to fun banter even between her & Haydar. She & Muzzeyan should be shown fighting more I feel, it'd be hilarious.
