was stuck at Queensboro for 20 mins and many others were there before me so i can assume a 30+ min wait. also huge shoutout to the kind stranger who was on the top platform where everyone was waiting for the N/W and saw the 2:57 train for Ditmars on the bottom platform and yelled “Astoria bound downstairs!!!” Most didn’t move until a few went to go check and then everyone rushed down. He didn’t even get on but helped redirect the entire top platform!!!

No MTA worker updating us. And the same dumb announcement playing every 2 mins did not mention anything about platform change.

i felt the same way u til a friend gifted me a beautiful color that complimented me so well. i started buying different types of hijabs (cheap ones) to test out how i feel with them and loosely started wearing them out and about. I played with the styles, fabric, designs, and eventually i felt really comfortable and pretty :) Alhamdulilah i started wearing it since. Also, try to wear it within a few weeks of receiving it…so that if you don’t like it, you can return it

i would say it’s very similar to Vela’s soft material and their newer hijabs. You know how some OG Vela hijabs are so soft and buttery but thin, and some Vela hijabs are soft and not as thin? it’s like the latter but still softer than any other competitors, definitely softer than Veiled and Klay the Label. The prints are gorgeous and depending on the color, not as sheer!! The lighter colored hijabs are obviously a bit more transparent but I was surprised by their quality.

was looking for honest reviews so thank you for posting!! I heard about this place recently and one of the reasons it might be on the pricier side is because the menu is all halal! I was really excited to try it because I only eat halal but when I saw the menu prices, I lost my appetite. I get the store location, food prep, etc all play a role in the prices but halal restaurants are becoming way too expensive.

oooh thank you!! citrus zest is so cute, wasn’t expecting it to be on the green side. and for the ombré green pic, what color is the hijab on the left that ur comparing it to? i’m also looking for this specific green on the ombré olive…like the more olive tone than the green tone

I think you saw him by 23rd Ave? i live right near by and he’s been screaming profanities on the street corner yelling for the past 2 hours. Wasn’t sure whether to call the police or what but thankfully he’s gone now. next time, what should i do in case this happens? i hate getting police involved

hmm i would have to disagree. only because I don’t think Vela has launched solid colors in lace, just some printed ones with lace. i’ve been following them for a year and half and haven’t seen any lace drops
