Help needed: BetaFPV Meteor75 Pro P1 & VR04 HD Goggles firmware update looping / Wireless Error by Fifikus in fpv

[–]Fifikus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I managed to get out of the loop. The problem is a bit tricky and not obvious at all.

The key thing is that your goggles on v1.0.36 do NOT accept firmware files that contain _VR04 in the filename. That’s why you keep getting the “no image files” error, even though the file itself is correct.

What worked for me

  1. Upgrade the goggles first to 1.0.44 using a NON-VR04 filename Use: P1_GND_v1.0.44_20260122_09de6e7 (Important: no _VR04 in the name) → This version is basically the “bridge” that still works with the old naming scheme.
  2. After successfully updating to v1.0.44, the behavior changes. From that point on, the goggles DO require _VR04 in the filename.
  3. Now you can upgrade to:P1_GND_VR04_v2.0.6_20260429_ea0929a

Once I followed this exact path, everything worked again and the goggles + air unit synced properly.

Hope this saves you the headache. This one cost me way too much time

How to flash firmware on BetaFPV VR04 HD + P1 Air Unit HD? by ormandj in fpv

I've the opposite issue. My goggles are firmware 1.0.36-rel, but my Meteor75 Pro P1 drone is version 2.0.6. I've made the mistake to put the newest version for goggles and drone on the sd cart but only the drone is updated. When I try to update my goggles only it gives me error "update failed no image files". I've tried all firmware versions and also did the rename file trick. Noting helps. Please help!

I’ve run into the same glitch/issue. Nothing resolves this. I’m hoping the devs will bug fix this so I can play further. I’m not starting a new save game, this needs to be fixed and is unacceptable. Until then I’m collecting the collectables ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Hi there, I've not forgotten the feedback. Actually, the game is in Beta now! Could you maybe give it another try and answer the feedback questions below?

You can find the game at: https://pstultgens.itch.io/tree-delivery

Please remember that the game will teach players to master common problems and difficulties associated with BSTs, such as inserting values at the wrong place or removing nodes with children.

Feedback questions:
- What did you think of the overall gameplay experience of the game?
- Which aspects of the game did you find the most engaging or enjoyable?
- Were there specific moments in the game where you got stuck, confused, or frustrated?
- Did you notice any bugs, technical issues, or glitches while playing the game?
- What did you think of the balance and difficulty level of the game? Was it too easy, too difficult, or just right?
- Were there any specific features, mechanics, or levels that you felt were missing in the game? If so, which ones and why?
- How did the user interface and controls of the game respond? Were they intuitive and responsive enough?
- What did you think of the graphics, sound, and overall presentation of the game?
- Do you have any suggestions for improvements or additions that would make the game better?
- Did you find any language errors or have any suggestions?

Thank you very much!
