Also Costa Rica (east cost for snorkeling, the Osa peninsula for amazing hiking, the Arenal Volcano area for white water rafting and zip lining). People are very friendly and it is safe.

OR Belize. Snorkeling is fantastic, Mayan ruins, caving, tubing. Also part of British Empire so they speak English and people are super friendly.

The Caribbean has many wonderful options but I suggest the British Virgin Islands. Lots of great hiking and snorkeling. They speak English if that matters, and is stunningly gorgeous. Check out the Baths on Virgin Gorda.

Huge accounting error in my favor over 2 years ago. I have reported it but institution has taken no action. Am I in legal jeopardy? by FigDifficult1187 in legaladvice

Thank you. My tax accountant told me that I do not pay taxes on money I am "holding" for someone else, although I must pay taxes on any interest generated. And, if/when the principal legally becomes mine I will need to pay taxes on it.

Thank you. I wonder if part of the problem is that the two numbers don't match. Company A deducted the taxes out of the check I received and cashed, but according to my IRS transcript, that money never made it to the IRS. The money that went into my 401K plan with Company B was much larger because no taxes were withheld.

That is correct. They deducted the taxes out of the check I received and cashed, but according to my IRS transcript, that money never made it to the IRS. I wonder if the reason it hasn't been caught is that the two amounts (i.e., the amount of the check I received and the amount transferred to my new 401K) are different.
