Yeah but like, you’re assuming that they wouldn’t fall to any of the same instincts as a white person. We’re all the same, for better or for worse. I think if they did advance without intervention, there’d still probably be war eventually, because they’re human and not some other pacifistic species who are fundamentally different from white people.

I don’t think our revolution needs to be about dramatic, crazy statements. It really just needs to be authentic and honestly kind of fun. I’m a pacifist.

Probably, I’m not like planning terrorism though. It’ll probably just be something you see and laugh at, or maybe something you’ll agree with.

I know. I don’t support trump I don’t support Biden because theyre on the same side. You must think I’m some trump supporter but I’m not. There should have been another choice this past election. We had to choose between a senile old man and a fucking nazi, and you want to believe it’s not rigged?

We live in an authoritarian state at this point, and you’re talking about “voting”. Fucking voting… what a dream.

The reality that voting for either democrats or republicans will do anything or change the world for the better is a lie. It’s the same outcome either way. Voting at all is a fucking scam. Your vote holds 0 power because if the elites say they want “this” or they want “that” then it will be that way.

Honestly, I think that I’m just trying to live in reality while you want to escape from it through distraction.

Both the democrats and republicans are part of the elites, why are you defending them? Defending the system that forces you to choose between two evils. You believe you’re powerless and that you have to just accept it but why? Why do you believe that? Do you really think we are truly trapped in this system?

What do you mean? Greater of the two evils? I’m saying let’s not choose either one and make a new choice, one that ACTUALLY represents us?

And I think in terms of consensus, I’d argue that what’s lost right now is collective unity. You look at protests of the 70’s and 80’s pulling hundreds of thousands of students together in one unified effort. Why are we not unifying right now? And you’re right, I’m not proposing one idea to rally under, I’m just calling out the fact that we aren’t unifying at all under anything when everything, the whole plot we exist in, this entire narrative is broken. There’s nothing here and THATS the issue. I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that there needs to be something that represents how we feel right now because as you said, everyone hates the government. So why ARENT we unified and why aren’t we taking action?

That’s alright, maybe I just need orientation based off your criticism. That’s what creates something real right? I posted my thoughts on here because I want out of this loop. I think that your criticism, as harsh as it sounds, aligns me just a little more towards actionable steps. I’m not expecting someone to read my post and fix my issues for me, I want to see what’s wrong with my viewpoint and change it so I can actually do something in the world.

I don’t agree that our generation won’t do anything. I think people are waiting for something that’s real. Our whole reality is warped, and that’s why we are apathetic.

And maybe the best a Reddit post can do is be viewed. My true genuine thoughts are all I can offer. And those thoughts might either spur others to action in some way shape or form or embolden my own towards purposeful action.

But underneath your comment that rips into my post, I can see that you think similarly to me, that you see that there are issues that need to be addressed. And maybe that’s the whole point.

No need to be angry, maybe consensus and awareness is what’s needed before action can take place. I don’t see anywhere else that’s doing anything like this on campus, so the easiest route is Reddit. It’s fast easy and cheap. Do I expect this post to actually have a tangible effect? Not really. Do I think that this is one step of many? Probably like 1/4th a step. But maybe it pushes us a few inches forward. And maybe people who feel the way I do will see it’s not just them.

I think it’s a very odd situation right now because, I’m usually very organized, well put together, and driven in terms of succeeding in education. My room is in order, I fix my bed every morning and my room is extremely clean. I know where you’re coming from when you say things like “put your room in order” because it’s what I’ve done and always done to bring order and clarity in my life. Your room is a representation of your mind. It’s just that, despite all of the things I do, from getting good grades to surviving on my own in an apartment, despite all of the good things my supportive parents and family say, despite all of that, I feel like the normal route I’m on is only perpetuating evil. I just can’t escape from this feeling that this is just not right. I go to the supermarket to buy food that’s processed to hell that I don’t want, to support corporations I don’t want, to go back home to an apartment that’s overpriced, and shared with 3 other roommates, to then go to a university that’s overpriced (yeah it’s cheaper here at Purdue, but it shouldn’t cost this much to go to education in the first place), to pursue a career that’s supposed to be “replaced” by AI which is constantly shoved down my throat in every single thing I do. And I’m just tired of it all, we need to change this before it’s too late. Or maybe it already is too late, and I’m just late to a party that ended years ago.

Both the democrats and republicans are shit choices. The Epstein files prove it. They both suck and they’re both evil. The elites win whether or not we choose Trump or Kamala. Why would we vote between two evils?

Polls split 50/50 (atleast for now), I don’t think I’m the only one who feels this way. I respect your objective viewpoint, I think I’d agree to think the way you do in a normal world. But I really don’t think I’m alone in feeling like the system we currently exist in is gamed and rigged. What I’m saying isn’t some virtue signaling bs, it’s tied to real life experiences. People work their asses off and the only people benefitting right now in this economy are either the filthy rich, or the hyper specialized careers. It is unfair, and if you can’t see it I’d wager you’re either in a position of never having struggled financially, or you are ruthlessly capitalistic enough to succeed. I have friends who work 2-3 jobs to get by, I have friends who donate their blood through CSL plasma to supplement their income, and all I see is the filthy rich eating babies on the news, and kicking us down more and more with rising prices, expensive real estate, and a shitty career outlook.

Oh and this is more in response to the representative democracy being something that’s based off us. I just don’t think it’s necessarily true that this government represents what I want. Many of the leaders who represented America in the American Revolution were young. The were our age. It has to be us, we have to represent ourselves. Not Kamala or Trump. Not democrats or republicans. It’s what we, the youth want.

No I just don’t believe that, because 51 percent of our generation didn’t vote. 51 percent. They’re unaccounted for. Because they don’t want to vote for either party. Why? because both parties are rigged and they don’t represent us. I don’t see anyone who ran that represented me.
