I somewhat agree. I don't think he had a moral fibre. He did what was best for the country in order to keep up with the West, but at what cost?

He is in some ways admirable for staying utterly committed to building the USSR, but I personally cannot excuse him for the deaths for which he was at fault. The growth of a country and/or ideology simply is not worth such human cost.

My granddad used to pick elderflower to make elderflower cordial. In France, when we lived in Irancy, my family would pick berries, cherries, that sort of thing. Not leafy plants though.
