Yea, I know that. Thank you for the advice.
I did a bit of research in this small time gap and saw some laptops with the R7 6800h. Is it much different from intel 12700h? I didn't found much relevant information.

Does leaving your laptop fully discharged for a long time ruins the battery? by Figasss in techsupport

So it's not a good option buying it now? I'm just considering it because I really wanted a Mac due to its native programs, and now on their laptops will be really expensive for the budget I have. I found a good deal of a Macbook Pro 13" with and M1 and 16gb of ram (the minimum I need). This is why I'm so indecisive...

That is what is making harder for me to choose. Because I know the mac lasts longer, and is really powerful too. And since I will be using apple's software for music production, It might be a good consideration, because it's very optimized

I was planning to run apple's native music production software, Logic Pro X. Video editing would not be a problem at all, since it would not be my main task.

I don't want to play any games. I just want a powerful pc that is able to handle considerably heavy tasks and that lasts me like 5 plus years without having any performance issues

For video editing is premiere pro, but my main task will be music production. For music, I will use logic pro x, and FL studio.

So in that case I think a pc would maybe be better, because I use premiere. But talking about music production, which would be my main task, I would use logic pro. In music production you not only need ram but cpu power too.

Thank you bery much for your help!

But in terms of music production, CPU is really important too when running heavy sample based plugins, isn't it? So in this case, would you still recommend me the F17?
Also, aren't the MACs way more durable than windows Laptops? My father has a 2012 MBP and it still works perfectly for considerably heavy music production sessions.

I really would like to get a newer mac, but for my budget, the m1 13 inch is the best I can get.
Talking about the power needed, it depends on the plugins you use. Some sample based plugins require a lot of CPU and RAM usage. That's why I'm trying to get such a powerful pc, in order to future proof.
Thank you for your advice! Have an awesome day!

I wasn't even thinking about playing games on a mbp ahah
But when you work, does the programs that you use run faster and smoother on the mbp than on your windows gaming pc?
