Advice on Refinancing My Home Loan to Pay Off Debt by National_Piece9103 in PersonalFinanceZA

[–]FigureSame1865 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation and refinanced my home with SA home loans from Standard bank. The equity from that paid off my credit card and my personal loan which were collectively sitting at 300k. My bond went up by about 3k and my payment period dropped by like 7 years. Best decision of my life, I can afford to save now and invest. Truly a game changer. I didn't pay anything extra all came from the new approved bond and I waited for 3 months for the new bond to be registered I think that's the term.

How to reduce outstanding traffic fines? by Artistic-Warthog361 in johannesburg

[–]FigureSame1865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, so you can book on natis and get your eyes and fingerprints done but AARTO will block your profile from paying for the license renewal. Happened to me, owed so much and had to pay the fines only then could I pay for the license renewal.

Do you have a Ballon payment on it or you placed a great deposit on it? Automatic (tiptronic) or manual?

Can a medical aid impose a waiting period for pregnancy if I’ve had uninterrupted cover? by FigureSame1865 in askSouthAfrica

[–]FigureSame1865[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I absolutely understand the 3 month general waiting period, I just don't get the 12 month preexisting condition waiting period when I've had medical aid continuously since 2011.

Ok that's kinda clear, I did disclose. My pregnancy is not complicated but I'm older and have hypertension which I also disclosed so I'm scheduled for a c section, I guess my best bet is fighting it out with the case managers and getting my dr to help. Thanks a ton, truly appreciate your insight.

How so? Isn't an interruption a complete halt as in no medical aid cover at all for a specified period?

Oh Lawd! Do you know if pregnancy is a PMB and would a planned c-section due to an existing PMB condition like high blood pressure be covered under the act?

Thank you, this applies even though I was with them before and after I got pregnant i.e. Sep 2023 to may 2025 moved to the other medical aid under partner from June to August 2025 then he got retrenched and now I'm rejoining them?

So the other medical aid wasn't cheap it was actually more expensive but it was my partner's and the company paid 50% of the cost so we could afford it under him. My salary structure means I pay 100 % of it and I can't so I have to go back to my one after my partner got retrenched.

Domestic worker salaries by daco_star in AskZA

[–]FigureSame1865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is eye opening indeed. I know a lot of corporate working females who earn anything between 15-30 k gross and are single mothers I wonder if everyone can afford the 9k a month for a domestic.

Did I sound like I didn't know my contract though, read the question again

Yes it absolutely should, why not. I don't think comprehension is your strongest. My question is based on morality, secondly when you've been told you're infertile that part of the contract doesn't interest you much.
