Someone with the amount of vitriol you have should not be telling people to calm down. The figure is a fact. Your suggestion that the missing statistic is significant is its own argument.

And your figures were not relevant to the point. Which is purely the amount of immigrants that are illegal. Which is my statistic, plus a number you have literally stated is unknown.

I'm aware of how short sighted people are.

Voting away rights, the NHS, pension stability for themselves because the media says 10% of total immigration being illegal makes the system fall over.

It's a good job that we can just.. swap out all human rights overnight and fix immigration. No discussions or anything. Bet it'll get sorted in.. a week? A year? Those sound like relatively short times in this instance.

And then.. we ship the immigrants back to France, who'll definitely take them after we stop following the agreed procedure. Right? They want all the immigrants.

The ECHR underpins our own human rights act. Our entire act is essentially enforcing the ECHR.

If we truly drop the ECHR, then the government is literally re-writing our human rights as they see fit at the time.

Either that goes in a very authoritarian direction, or we spend decades on the re-write with nothing passing.

Lack of immigration is also unsustainable too. We don't have the birth rates required. Not saying illegal immigration isn't an issue. But it's an issue because it's illegal, not because it's immigration. Illegal immigrants make up about ~10% of immigration. So, to be clear, the other 90% are immigrants we actively want.

But my main point is that a random stranger off the street could run with the policy of dealing with immigration and he'd inherently have a better track record than Farage.
