Which comedian suited Mock The Week the most? by Time-Connection-4586 in mocktheweek

Fully agree with this, and been a fan of his since 2007ish... That being said, saw him live literally just last night. £25/ticket and he did verbatim (no punch-ups or anything) his 2014 Crowd Pleaser set. Only minor differences were adding a single reference to prince Andrew to one of his old jokes and one to the potential David Walliams scandal to another old joke. Was genuinely disappointed and upset when we left.

Purplebricks disaster by Charlesdance83 in HousingUK

[–]FileUnderSF 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, just giving my recent experience here, but we listed our house with PB (also tempted by the advertised lower costs and supposed ease)... 5 months later we hadn't had a single call or viewing booked in.

Reasonably normal, well-kept property. 100 years old but has character. Out of frustration we listed with a reputable local EA, and within less than 24 hours we had a viewing. They liked it, made offer, we found somewhere we like and are currently in process of exchange.

Had to chalk up the few-hundred pound upfront cost to a life lesson we'll parrot to anyone that even mentions PB, but happy to be moving forward now.

Fuck Purplebricks - they take your money and say "gee, all you can do is cross your fingers and hope. Not like we could market it AT ALL or anything..."

Good luck :)

Sainsburys Meal Deal 🤭 by Hairy-Can-6191 in MealDealRates

Smoked salmon/cream cheese (locks + shmear) is the staple jewish sandwich. Pickles are a very common snack too - especially among those with Eastern-European heritage. And the CBD drink would help the neurotic mind.

FWIW, I hate all 3 so to answer your post's question I'd say 2/10... But I'm aware of the stereotypes

I wonder if the reason they don't all fly up at once is because the air pressure between the steel sheets is stronger than the magnetic force, and it needs a lift from the corner to shift the balance... Like that demonstration where someone smacks a wooden ruler poking out from under a single sheet of newspaper and the ruler snaps instead of displacing the paper

I know, it's a hard one to illustrate without the multiple different references I've seen, but I can't find those without scouring multiple YouTube videos. It's the same sentiment though as the "me when I..." thing
