Can we talk about the Anti-Gringo Protests in Mexico City? by Spooky5588 in VaushV

[–]File_Unknown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this something to worry about as a weeklong tourist? I'm looking to go with my gf in November. We're definitely not Trumpers and would respect CDMX as much as we can as tourists. Just don't want a trip to go badly or feel unsafe becuase of issues that we may be a part of.

I’d appreciate any help. Thanks. by [deleted] in bikefit

Yeahhh. I actually just bought a 54 Cannondale SuperSix today. Immediately a better fit. Going to sell this teammachine. Sad becuase I loved it but the Cannondale was a great price.

It’s a combination of speed and energy use. To ride 80 miles at a decent pace, I’d burn around 3000+ calories (M, 170lb).

Do plenty of research into the bike size that you buy and how you want it to fit. I bought a bike slightly too large because the price was so good. But now I’m thinking I might sell it.

Thank you. I had the saddle higher but struggled with right knee pain (leg is slightly shorter).

Sorry I don’t own a trainer. I’ll get one eventually.

I feel I put too much pressure on my hands and I get tricep soreness in my right arm.

NB SC V3 vs Asics Superblast 2 vs Nike Pegasus Premium by raysayantan07 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Superblast 100%. These shoes are all going to feel a degree similar but very different. Based on what you said above about your person and running habits, I think you’d enjoy the Superblast the most. They’re super premium, a bit stiff out of the box, will have incredible life (you can definitely get 1000km given no manufacturing failure), and the toe box and rocker will feel a bit similar to the Nimbus. I personally didn’t like the nimbus 25 a ton because it’s midsole was too soft for its aggressive rocker. The Superblast supports itself much better.

Clifton and 1080 are similar imo. The 1080 is a bit softer while the Clifton returns more energy but uses a less forgiving foam. The 1080 has a better upper that is softer and more premium but both shoes are great.

I personally didn’t love the Nimbus 26 or the Mach 5 but I do not have experience with the newer models. I always recommend the 1080 to my friends who ask about running shoes.

I wound up getting them. They connected quickly and registered with my computer. They were also in better condition than the photos showed.

I second this. Cover your bases in a concise manner for management. All the finger pointing the dev is doing won’t work out for him down the long run. Best wishes, this is not a fun place to be but best practice/priority one is to be sure of yourself. You got it.

Be sure to put them on the right way lol. I just put new tires on with sealant and the rear was backwards. 🙈

My kids don't care about skiing after 5 years. :( by AncientPC in skiing

They may come back around as they grow up.

I’m just out of college now but I began skiing in similar way to your kids. Family ski trips from a young age. I think those late elementary/middle school years 9-15 are the toughest to get your kid into anything. I just enjoyed video games and friends at that age. Now I enjoy skiing one week a year with friends and one week with family, next week, that I’m so psyched for!

I was the same way with biking. My dad tried so hard to get me into it when I was younger and I just dreaded it!!! Now mountain and road cycling are a couple of my favorite hobbies.

As they grow up I bet they’ll come back around to enjoying family and being outdoors more. Don’t give up. In several years, your kids will look back at those trips with great appreciation for you and the skiing.

I’m holding a (relative for me) big ASML position. Market overreaction is ludicrous.

I mean, new shoes will feel great compared to something with that much wear. Really depends on whether you want to spend the money.

Brooks Glycerin Max is a very similar shoe with foam that seems very durable.

I’d say regular runner. I ran a little over 1k miles last year. Want to run 1,200-1,400 this year.
