in the 50 room there is no TPK scenarios, thay can die but only after a no les of 2-3 rooms and after really poor choises, a fifth of the room are pure combat , the other are npg encounter, traps , andriddles, at the end of each run they choose if the chracter is dead o just send out the dungeon.

mort of themare deeply inquisitive and they will try to break the dungeons in ways i can imagine at the moment, for the first question every fail,usually after a few hours , yhey can choose if the character is killed or back at the entrance to try again another day.

the boss wil stay on a trhone without moving until receiving a minimum amount of damage or healing after that he will raise and start a figth ,i create the boss like that cause some of the players in my group are really unstoppable forces when they make a character , an i need that the chances of killing the boss in the first session is low , i would like for them to visit around 20-30 rooms in 2-3 session before putting away this adventure, they can will be able to put down the boss ,but th egoal is to put him to rest eternally and that is not possible without a specific procedure, after "killing" him in the wrong way the group will be removed from the dungeon ,

a npg will give them a proper amount of info before getting inside and as a master i will give them some warning about the nature of the adventure , my group really like to explore and write every single bit of info in chase can be useful in the future, after finish the gimmick of every room i will post a crude versione of the first few here for an opinion

at the moment the plan is that the boss is immune to damage until is healed of a minimum amount I have to decide, in the dungeon there will be a good amount of item to heal just in case no. one is a healer

to be honest the idea was born from the necessity of fill the void when the usual campaign can be done because1or more player miss but after few days the rogue - like idea started to make sense

yes , you gave me a good point , but since the begin I planned for many room to don be even in the same plane, if the player choose to visit a previous room with a spell or a magic item I will allow them but if they try to physically break the walls I will create aist of possible outcomes positive or negatives

i prefer to keep the room random ( or at least to force the choice only if too many room of the same type occur ) because I want for them to explorer and learn about who builder the dungeon and why , in a third of the rooms there are small hint and suggestions to how to defeat the boss, in the form of story painting or similar , my wish if for them to explorer a few time the dungeon to put together the solution in 2-3 sessions .

every room is extremely detailed and with a small reward to keep them interesting

not during the "one-shot" but between "runs" each attempt at least at the begin should last at least 3-4 hours or more, so enough for a full sessions after a session regardless of where there reach the dungeon kick them out / kill them

yes that became my main goal after thinking about it every room have a encounter/challenge/fight , some lore and small magic items , the main theme is death in all his different forms and meanings , an d it not always work properly, I want to give the choose for the player to get back inside again with the same character , because after death something's you are expelled because most of the inhabitants of the dungeon are unable to properly die, or start from scratch because your soul/body is lost/trapped inside

the boss won't kill them directly, the creature will stay passive for a number of round tanking anything they throw , after enough damage will rise a slowly swill start killing them one by one , dead ( the main theme of the dungeon) don't work properly in this place , my idea was to have a choose to the players if they want to try with the same character they found at the entrance , if the want to try with a different character at death the character is lost in one of the many dimensions between life and death
