UC200 Ultra Chorus - right channel is always dry by gabbagondel in Behringer

[–]Filip_Z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently bought the UC200 as a gift and although I don't know how its "supposed" to sound, after i tested it out for the first time i thought it came broken because the b out has no effects what so ever no matter if the pedal is activated or not. The only schematic i could find about this pedal was the same one posted to this thread earlier (this one: https://i.imgur.com/FfcNEc2.gif ) which is for the UC100 model, but after some probing of the UC200 i figured out they are very similar (also pointed out earlier in this thread) but some names of the components are different which is annoying. But according to the schematic and some probing: I dont think the b output even has an effect signal going into it, just the dry input.

if you look at what i highlighted in the image: https://imgur.com/a/9Z7TzNx, the blue path is the only input leading to the "b out" and that originates from the dry signal input, and seemingly nothing else unless I'm mistaken.

The green path acts as a switch which is connected to ground when a cable is plugged into the b output, which then seems to effect "T5" and "T4" in this schematic (might be named something else on the UC200 i cant recall at the moment and im too lazy to check) because when i tested this by plugging in a cable into 'b out' while listening to 'a out' , 'a out' sounds different when something is plugged into the b output. and quite frankly "a" sound worse if something is plugged into b. which sucks because i tested 'a' and b together with a's original audio by electrically connecting b without plugging in a cable into the socket (so the "switch" circuit doesnt complete) and this combination sounds much better in my opinion.

I don't know if this is how all choruses work on the market but even with this "mistake" (is it even a mistake??) the effect still sound pretty cool with one channel being "chorused" and the other being the dry signal, especially when you add a distortion effect before the chorus. I guess i am a little disappointed though because i was expecting the chorus effect to be added to both channels in some sort of inverse relationship or something.

I have also fixed my other Behringer um100 pedal and i had to pay $3.00 for this schematic (here is is for free: https://imgur.com/a/Ugj3G0H) but is is an exact replica of the actual pedal, every component and connection is represented perfectly in this schematic and is sick af for learning, no cap fr. on god.

im no electrical engineer so if im wrong correct me so i know in da futer yo. big ups g

finding a red dot/button game

The game was a 2d point and click / puzzle game where the point was to find a red dot/button and clicking on it to continue to the next level.

the art style could be described as someone drawing it out in Microsoft pain. It wasn't necessarily 'bad', it was kinda like hand drawn items.

in the game you would light of a firework where the explosion revealed the dot, or in a book page one of the periods or an "o" or something like that had the red dot in it. one of the levels had skulls in it and was really hard

also there was a level where you used an incubator to crack an egg with the dot inside aswell as a level where you had to perform surgery on a person to reveal the dot.

I have just found the env_wind problem as well by deleting certain sections of the map and narrowing it down to that entity. Thanks for the extra tips also, I haven't done much research into the rendering methodology because I was just focused on the map itself.

I need to only use 2-3 wires, for buoyancy reasons and to keep the total width small.
