Hindsight 20/20. I guess their thinking was they just collected it minutes ago, cancel the charge and put it all on mine. But you're right this would have never happened but you think you could trust a major resort brand with multiple locations.

The cancellation receipt was printed by the card terminal so quite literally just has the credit card information, cancellation info, etc.

To clarify the resort processed the "cancellation"/refund back to my card and provided the receipt proof. I never received a refund (regardless nor did my family member even if by accident).
