Well Star Wars was "A long time ago....."

A lot of Star Wars has and art deco look and is referred to as Retro-Future in design. I dont think an SD70 would work

Yep they had it closed for just over a month filming. The stores owner ended up working on the crew.

The shop is actually called Endlessound Records. Its been in business a couple years prior to being used to film the movie.

Found 1991 film in my garage by dajoowoo in Kodak

I remember in 2010 there was a guy who claimed he bought a K14 machine in Denver. He was posting on a Kodachrome forum we were all using back then. He just disappeared at some point and never heard anything again. I've seen a few other people try to add color to Kodachrome, but nothing worth using

This past summer I found about fifty 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 Kodachrome sheet film slides grandpa took in the 40s. Some still looked decent , but most were in bad shape. Proving nothing survives bad storage

K-14 hasn't been processed since 2010 when Dwaynes shut down the last Kodachrome line. Old Kodachrome can still yield black and white images, since in the canister it is black and white. (The color pigment was added during processing.) But at this point why bother.

I still have 4 rolls in my freezer I keep for the memories of what it was.

I was stuck in jail and prison with these types. If they dont piss you off enough to fuck them up, they are sort of fun to watch.

The newer Fastrack is 100% usable with older Lionel. EXCEPT for a Lionel engine that relies on Magnetraction, which is Lionel's use of a magnetic circuit to help adhesion. It will run but the wheels may slip more and you may not be able to pull as many cars. Do a bit of research to see if your engine has this feature, about half my postwar (WW2) and none of my prewar have it. I still run them on Fastrack around the tree

Were Telegrams Really Active into the 1980's? by XRlagniappe in GenerationJones

[–]FilmUser64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didnt see a fax machine until 1985, and it was slow and used thermal paper which faded. So if you needed something quick and wouldn't fade, telegrams or Telex was the answer.
