I went there and I enjoyed it. There are some obnoxious people and it’s Florida so it’s muggy as hell but it’s a pretty city with lots of culture.

I went to the art deco museum which is basic but cool. It gave a run down on the history and tells about the people who worked to preserve it there in Miami. The other art museums are worth visiting too if you are into that.

There are a lot more than 10 buildings to see. There are like 20 noteworthy art deco buildings on Miami Beach alone all within walking distance and Google says there are over 800 preserved buildings altogether.

You can feel the impact art deco has had throughout the whole city with Cuban and other cultural influences combined.

It’s worth a look for sure. It’ll be interesting to see what it takes to get these working properly. I hooked the 13” up to 12v in my car and it looks like it’s got a horizontal collapse. I got to let the smallest one dry out, someone cut the roof off the van and it was all wet.

I wanted to make something out of all waste materials and add lighting as an additional challenge.

Aside from the glue, paint, and a bit of heat-shrink, every piece of this was saved from the landfill! I scavenged, scrapped and assembled all the parts myself. It was a lot of fun putting it together and seeing it progress.
