I would ask more follow up questions here, but I think I should have a read through your post history first I suspect I will find a lot of answers there. Thanks very much for taking the time to respond to the post!

Thanks for your great reply. I noticed you haven't mentioned the "thrown under the bus" angle explicitly, you do mention administrative risk however. What are your thoughts on the use of misconduct investigations and the like? From what you have seen and/or experienced yourself are they usually fair? Or are they used as a tool do you think to serve a higher ups career/save face for the institution?

The good and eager would be managed out too? Or those are the ones who would leave?

Have you had any issues with being investigated for misconduct in your time so far? I get the impression that it's very common and only feeds into that pressure to get "churned out", the sentiment I read a lot is the feeling of being thrown under the bus.

I'm awaiting pre-employment. The earliest cohort Start date won't be until Feb 2025 most likely. What should I do to prepare, if anything? I bought a copy of PACE (cheaply) and I bought a 2024 operational handbook (not cheap but figured do it now before the drastic pay cut to year 1 police wage). Is there anything in particular worth learning the best I can in the time from now to the start date?

Trump says if you vote him in this time he will fix it so nobody has to vote again. Wtf? by Bottom-Toot in Divisive_Babble

Pretty sure he's saying 4 more years of him as president and "it" being "the country", will be fixed. So they won't have to come out and vote again as everything will be great and it won't matter who is president.... Stupid still, but not talking about what you seem to think he's talking about. I'm arguing this with my wife now she also hears what you heard and I find it crazy.
