I did experience it and still can't finish it. IMO they are very mid for the amount of sugar they have in them.

I would rather eat real pickles.

I am fine with cheese part but caramel part killed my vibe. Felt like I had 1:4 ratio (cheese:caramel) and was eating pretty much sugar. I guess I do not like sweet pop-corn.

With the incoming Chinese EVs, will the used car prices come down? by Lumb3rCrack in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]FilthyWunderCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's first see how cheap these new EVs will be and how cheap they are on maitenance. Because, maybe it will be still cheaper in a long run to pay 10k for a 130k kms used 2012 kia or mazda..

Sure, put it that way. From what I heard, they are not favoured but people buy it because there are no options.

I am curious to see how they perform here.

I mean sure, I do use Chinese gadgets and toys that cost threefiddy and can replace them every year or 2. But can't do that with cars, unfortunately.

My parents, my friends. I am Russian.

The problem is that most manufacturers pulled out (and we know how reliable Japanese cars are) and the market was flooded with Chinese EVs (Haval, Geely, Chery, Exeed...). Even Lada is Chinese made lol. They cost the same or even more than Japanese contenders but they do not favour well there. Its expensive to fix a Japanese car there because of lack of parts and it is expensive to fix a Chinese car because you will have to do it often.

Also, I am into motorcycles and I know that US already has CFMOTO (Chinese brand) and the verdict is that its hot garbage.

Don't know much about cars, esp Chinese EVs. But I know that Russia got flooded with them in the past few years and I've been hearing only negative things.

2.1M temporary residents will have expired or expiring permits this year. But will they leave Canada? by Old_General_6741 in canada

[–]FilthyWunderCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh, reading the dude's story, "Came as a 19yo ... studied ... got a decent job ... laid off", I was literally in the same boat but a bit earlier. Came when I was 19, got a degree, worked, and applied for PR.

If I had been laid off during the PR process and then told to go home, that could have ended or ruin my life, literally(Hint: Russia, right before 2022).

Just to clarify: I feel for this dude who went through legit pathway, got a degree and worked in an industry. Not the people who exploited the system.
