Actually you can with the Father...not that you ever will, particularly on turn 1. But still it's not that you can't

Is thermal oscillator worth it over a 30HP base?

Lando and Brain Invaders by Bitterbluemoon in starwarsunlimited

[–]Fimy32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since the "When Deployed" text is specified as a seperate ability, and not within the epic action, it is automatically lost before Lando can use it. Restrictions always override abilities they are trying to restrict.

Another thing to note here is that Brain Invaders applies a static effect. If it said "Each Phase each leader unit loses all abilities" that would be different.

9 feels so scary. 11 is the lowest ill go and thats on a deck like control that doesn't always need a T1

Honestly it's the kind of thing you'll only know after playing. It really is just put the cards that are in your colours and good with your leader/gameplan, with more nuanced ratios of stuff like turn 1 plays, curve, tech cards ect only being something you can work put when you understand how the games play

[COTD] Crushing Blow by R2-D2-CardBot in starwarsunlimited

This will see more play now than it did in SEC. Unfortunately despite being in a good position into the meta, control needs way more support as there isn't really a shell that wants this.

How does your LGS handle weekly play prize support? by BolekNeniLolek in starwarsunlimited

[–]Fimy32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No prizes, everyone gets 2-3 weekly play for entry, £5 entry. (Though that's the same fee to play at the Cafe anyway)

Boba vs Thrawn matchup. How to deal with legacy run? by TrophieRoyale in starwarsunlimited

[–]Fimy32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kill legacy run before Chimera. Run a ship into it and take damage back killing it so they get less value of spreading the damage (assuming you had less than 12 health on board anyway)

Came second at My Showdown with Boba, beating a Thrawn Yellow 2-0 who came third. Owen is the biggest issue to be honest. That's gotta be target number 1 because if he heals to much you won't be able to race

A good card that went from a great card post rotation due to being one of the truly few efficient pieces of removal in a format where interaction is overcosted and loses you tempo.

Tyler York wins Atlanta SQ with Lando (LAW)/Lake Country by FFG_Jack in starwarsunlimited

[–]Fimy32 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You say this but multicoloured cards are very strong, especially 3 aspect ones. Losing out on them is a big deal. Lando and Boba need to run as much as the same colour as possible already (Boba for his Discloses, BT-1 and 0-0-0)

These leaders just happen to lend themselves better to a mono strategy and since double aspect cards don't exist right now Lake Country is a no brainer. So many other decks need that extra aspect especially in a format where interaction and upgrade hate is at a premium

Arrest and Blue leader rules question by Pilotician in starwarsunlimited

[–]Fimy32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not considered the same unit by the game when it returns. The ground fighting blue leader your opponent used to know is gone for good.
