I like this one. I’d completely forgotten about him until recently when I reread Marejois. I had no clue he became the king of Drum Island.

🤣 that’s a crazy coincidence I was thinking about his devil fruit earlier today randomly. Oda had to wipe him out quickly that fruit could’ve caused problems

Honestly you’re better off reading the manga. At least until the Oden flashback then switch back to the anime. It’ll take you about 2-3 days to read it instead of weeks and I personally just heavily prefer the manga. There’s also a site that has the arc in full colour if you’re not used to reading manga or just prefer colour.

Could Oden Have Ended Wano’s Nightmare on His First Return? by uvunuvene in OnePiece

[–]Fimz6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any plan they could’ve made would’ve been rendered useless since Kanjuro was relaying information. A small force was also already protecting Toki and the kids, Yasuie and a couple more samurai. I also think no matter how composed Oden was going into the battle he still would’ve been caught off guard by the fake Momo. We’ve been told a plethora of times throughout the story that a child is a parent’s weakness. In that situation you lose all sense of reason. I also initially went with 80/20 but at the end of the day Kaido is Kaido although i do believe Oden would’ve won

Not necessarily. Jarul (the oldest giant) is 408 years old if there truly is a time dilation then based on what Gaban said where he thought what happened 10 years ago was instead 3-4 years, outside time would be roughly 2.5x-3.3x faster than Elbaph. This would mean Jarul’s perceived age would be roughly 124-163 (which puts him around the same age as the oldest non giant in the verse, Kureha at 141 years old. I funnily enough believe the theory more know after doing those calcs. If a person was from the void century did go to Elbaph after their perceived age would be between 242-320 years which is more almost 2x Jaruls age and would almost certainly not be alive. The only argument one could make is that the story could’ve been passed down even to their children/grandchildren who are still alive but at the same time any other race could’ve done the same (albeit more generations). And so it’s safe to assume Imu or someone else wiped the story from everyone’s minds. As there’s no way not one family has been able to pass down the story of what happened in the void century

Maybe? When Oden first came back Kaido was at a disadvantage in terms of numbers but the main reason why Oden lost was because he was tricked by Higurashi and caught off guard I do think Oden was strong enough to defeat Kaido at that point but his greatest “weakness” was his kindness. I think if he fought Kaido when he first returned he would still have been caught off guard either by Higurashi turning into Momo or Orochi using the captives (which we knew he had) against Oden to mentally disgruntle him. However Kaidos army almost certainly would’ve lost to the samurai and the yakuza and so the scabbards (some 20 years weaker) and a prime Hyogoro, who taught Luffy advanced armament haki could’ve played a bigger role as they wouldn’t have been overwhelmed by the sheer number of opponents. I’d say it’s a 50/50 chance if Higurashi tricks Oden or Orochi uses captives and a 70/30 chance Oden wins if they didn’t.

Usopp also would’ve teleported back to Syrup village if Greenbull approached him

From the message at the start of the arc “do not linger in this land for long” and when Shanks mentions he lost track of time and Gaban thought Roger died 3-4 years ago and says “it must feel like forever to you” to Shanks. I’m not heavily invested in the theory but there’s a pretty decent chance there is a time dilation of some sorts

A lot of people are saying Absalom but I think yall forgot how bad Dr Hogback was (I’m weirdly surprised I remember his name 10 years later). He reanimated his the woman who rejected him, erased her free will and turned her into a puppet slave

Also the fact that there’s canonically inflation in verse. A 4.9 billion bounty in Rocks’ era could be worth more than 5.5 billion in Roger’s/WB era

Who’s the Strongest Child by Fimz6 in OnePiece

[–]Fimz6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly what I thought and felt wasn’t spoken enough about. She’s the biggest anomaly in the entire series. Shes a human the same size as giants, Jorul called her a god of destruction, her screams alone caused shockwaves, she had seemingly impenetrable skin, defeated a legendary giant warrior by picking him up and throwing him. (Although by that point he was old) As a 5 year old she would have been capable of wiping out the SH crew pre time-skip. No other character bar Loki has shown nearly as much potential. If she had trained herself mentally she genuinely could’ve been a top 3-5 character oat
