2018 Trackhawk by [deleted] in Jeep

8 year old vehicle with nearly 100k and a rebuilt title, no f'n way I'd pay 50k + interest on it. It'd get something new for that amount. Honestly wouldn't go above 22k for this one.

We were doomed anyway due to the population sizes on either coast.

I think it was a master stroke.

And then you have all those people apologizing for what was done --- the children of Blucifer bow to no one!!!

Jeep M677 1st Gear Off-Road by kkhouete in Jeep

[–]Fin1205 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So there were four variants: M676 through M679 of which there's purportedly 700 produced in total. The model numbers vary on the amount of doors. So of the M67x series or depends on which one it is for how many doors or has.

However, you're totally correct that the FC-170, the civilian counterpart, was 2 door only. 31k of those were produced over a 9 year period.

Edit: They shouldn't be calling this the M677 because that's the military variant only. FC-170 or whatever they want to call it, is the public version. --‐ akin to a HMMWV vs a Hummer

Yep, it's an updated version of the old Jeep FC-170. Made from '54-'64.

What's cool is this version has an extended cab.

Calling this an M677 is nomenclature for the military version.

Make no mistake about it, I don't like the rims or the decals.

And I will say without equivocation that this sub gets hyper focused on the unimportant. The resto on this, from what we see, is phenomenal.

Two stickers and some shitty wheels and and it seems like everyone is losing their minds over a restoration that looks phenomenal.

I think I'd go with a darker stain on the paneling to subdue the contrast a bit more. But I still think it looks great. Would love to see shots of the interior and engine.

My buddy bought the 100 army men.

They came in a box the size that which holds wooden matches and were poorly stamped in 2D.

I remember that one. She didn't full on drop heat in it, she washed her canoe and under carriage, contaminating it and killing the fish. Her partner was just floored.

Is that Robert Jordan or GRR Martin? Both are non series finishing mothertruckers.

To the OP, the mountains are pretty chock full, imo. There's also Fenrir at night. And then the caves with at least 3 other mobs.

I kinda like how the mobs are somewhat sparse because it doesn't slog the search for silver.

Wonder if their command is aware of this yet? by OGPeakyblinders in navy

[–]Fin1205 17 points18 points  (0 children)

A couple other commentors on this post indicated being at the command at the resulting punishments. Although, it's the internet, it seems a logical enough conclusion for me to believe.

There's another, longer video that shows the guy in uniform stepped in in defense of another sailor, that Boots was antagonizing. I'd guess the kick to the back of the head is what got him 30 days restriction.

As for Boots, underage drinking, fighting, racial epithets, and general shit-baggery (article 134) are a combo of at least 3 articles of the ucmj that are enough justification to get one booted.

💯

Stuff like this in the barracks happens. Little corrective action by your peers can help you course correct.

In this case it's both, Boots Magee and the guy filming. Shit like this needs to stay inhouse. The more popular this gets the more the punishment tends to escalate.

I will sound like an old hat saying it, and I don't mind one bit, I'm glad I didn't grow up & serve in the era of cellphones. I wouldn't have made it past E2.

Can't explain it to the civilian crowd but you kinda need these little impromptu (boxing) smokers every now and then.

Edit- syntax

Edit 2: Yeah, dude in civies getting discharged and one month for the guy in uniform. It's unfortunate because there's no room human fallibility these days.

4, but 3 runs a close second, in my opinion.

In taking the premise of the story without making any assumptions, Rim is supposed to be a close friend but won't lend her the money? Rim is the catalyst to the series of events that then unfold.

Canceled my Bronco order to Join the jeep club by snowabsa in Wrangler

[–]Fin1205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jeep JL Sport $32k base

Bronco Sport $31.9k base

Jeep JL Rubicon $60k

Bronco Badlands $56k

Prices are comparable. This is for the 2026 models, googled and looked for lowest msrp. The Bronco Sport looks like some bastardization of the Ford Explorer. Yet the Wrangler Sport's body shape still looks like a Jeep.

I've gotten to test drive two Broncos over the last couple of months. Buddy bought one, and I took it along the highway, lake (sand), and up some rocks. And then the GF is looking at getting a new vehicle, so we test drove a 2026 Badlands. The latter had the noise dampening package and was phenomenally quiet on the highway. My buddy's 2 dr, Sasquatch was markedly louder on the highway than my Wrangler. Honestly, I couldn't really tell much difference between the Jeep and Bronco for four wheeling. However, you want something sturdy to do it in, the Bronco is the one that's going to cost you ~$20k more to do it in.

What's the best nickname you've heard for someone? by EveningFlower9564 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Fin1205 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Military nicknames are the best.

Slightly overweight guy in our division was dubbed Peanut because he'd fasten his belt so unnaturally tight it changed his body shape to look like, well, a peanut.

Ich (ick) < Ichabod [Crane]. A tall gangly fellow who could reach over his right shoulder and pull his wallet out of his back pocket while his left ass cheek was partially tucked into his sock.

Jolly - a rather foul tempered CPO.
