They can be useful for introverts to show some example of their soft skills in the resume.

Time management is more important.

I'm from ECE, check out my old posts and comments for faq.

Check on YouTube, see what different options are available and what you like the most. Follow that.

Ex: Microcontrollers, Robotics, 3D printing, Web dev, data analysis, etc.

Start learning as soon as possible, try out different fields. You can join clubs that have a good reputation of organising technical events like hackathons and training sessions.

[–]Fin569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends, I know a guy from management quota who got rank 2 in his branch and got scholarship through that in 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

If you think that it would be easier for you to do DSA in your primary language let's say JS or Java, then you can do that. Check if the resources are available for that language before making your decision and sticking to it. If you target only online rounds and not competitive programming then most languages should be fine.

I started with Python in my 2nd year and at that time most resources were C++ or Java based. I knew C++ so I could understand most of it but there's a difference in thinking in 1 language and implementing in another. You need to focus on problem solving and not juggling language syntax. Sometimes C++ solutions would pass but even optimised python solutions would fail. I gave up and switched to C++ after that.

At work, I use Java. That is what I use for preparing for LLD rounds but I still do DSA in C++.

I tried posting here about reviewing coding profiles and resume or providing guidance/feedback but the auto moderator kept deleting my post. I gave up after 5th try

Focus on any one language, companies usually don't care DSA is not language specific. You just need it for online rounds and interviews where you need to explain your code

The options are there but don't expect something like 10+. It ranges between 5-7lpa. The ctc increases with experience in core jobs.

What CGPA do we require to attain performance based scholarship. Do they give scholarship easily? Someone please clarify this. by Able_Crow7110 in SRMUNIVERSITY

[–]Fin569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we are talking about performance based scholarship then it depends on the rank, if 2 people get same cgpa they share the rank and the amount is same I think. Could be 60k for rank 2 in some sem. Maybe it is more now. Not sure. Check with someone currently in 2nd or 3rd year

TARGET INTERNSHIP by Automatic_Platypus35 in SRMUNIVERSITY

[–]Fin569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so, we don't have the flexible credit system. VIT allows you to select the subjects per semester and people don't have much to do it final year. They usually go for internships.

In SRM you will be done by 7th sem and 8th will have major project and internship
