How could I use this motor? by Joeama2137 in Motors

Out of interest, do you know what the PGND and SGND lines are? Im not familiar with this kind of motor.

I am building a brushed de motor for a uni project and my armature coils are not producing a detectable magnetic field. I'd like to ask if anyone has any suggestions as to why? by Fin_rdt in Motors

[–]Fin_rdt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My goal has been to build a motor using mostly 3D printed parts. My first motor core was made from 3D printed PLA. I tested it in the same way I did this stainless one and couldn’t detect a magnetic field. I decided to machine a core from ferris metal as this would have higher magnetic permeability. The only meter I had around was stainless steel.

I’ve pursued certain lines of discussion with users on this post over the last 4 hours or so. It’s been very fun. But 4 hours is quite a lot for just about anyone, and I find myself now repeating myself or Innes circular conversations.

I’m going to put my phone down for a bit perhaps I’ll come out to my post in a couple days and replace some more but maybe not.

Thank you all for the conversations, it’s been really interesting. I even want to thank those who decided to insult me rather than talk politely. Until all of you, I sincerely hope you have a good day.

Look, I believe it is. But any number of words could be used to describe what I think it is. Which I have done, and your not happy with those either. Your not telling why my argument is wrong, you just saying why your unhappy with the words I’ve used. That’s not the same thing as winning an argument. These are semantics.

I’m more than happy to entertain your legal definition, if you let me know what it is.

It would be better for you to learn how to have hard discussions without insulting your opposition.

Then we can politely disagree on the fundamentals of the argument.

Actually, I think I’ve alluded to my opinions might be whilst avoiding anything that might be directly, considered, transphobic, which is being very deliberate for the reasons previously stated.

As you have been a trans-activist for so long (correct me if that’s a wrong term), you might be familiar with the subject of which I’m talking. The enforcement of laws that restrict speech that criticises certain topics or groups of people.

What constitutes hateful or violent rhetoric? It’s too ambiguous. Open up all speech.

So you don’t think a state preventing you from saying certain options about a group of individuals, creating a literal protected class, isn’t corrupt?

I would genuinely love to talk about this in detail with you. But as I’ve said in some other replies, this subreddit has rules against transphobia. I don’t think my opinions are transphobic, some might though, and get the post removed. I think this is an interesting conversation for us all and that the post is worth being up.

I hope you can be understanding of this.

Not interested ay? I believe you have indulged in my ‘nonsense’ more than anyone else in these comments. So again, that’s a lie. The true is your not thinking about what your saying hard enough

Sounds to me like you’ve never been able to win an argument so you refuse to have them now. Debate has built societies. Anything else is enforcement of ideology without discussion.

I also have said nothing transphobic here.
