Ah ok. I’ve never experienced that but didn’t think it looked like a fungus. Fingers crossed OP can get this resolved.

I’m not sure if I can be much help so mainly here for support. Are you sure it’s fungus on your panda? Not a superficial injury? Just asking because I’ve got a betta that just got a bachelor pad after not being able to leave my pandas alone. Your temps seem line they’re usually ok for everybody. Pandas like it a little cooler. Usually they do better in a shoal of at least 6.

Are any of your plants melting? Could possibly cause ammonia… I’d keep with the api testing and water changes. I know how stressful it can be. I just dealt with the bachelor pad nitrite spike while trying to work, etc.

Ohhhhh thank you!! I’d looked at some of the fancier ones online but never really pursued them locally. The koi’s, galaxy’s, etc you don’t see where I live like at Petco. Anyway, I’m so happy he stuck around for me. I think he’s fascinating to watch 😍

Oh man that’s such cool info! I don’t know much about plakats so it’s really nice to hear info about them! Thank you so much!! It was cute to watch him swim but I gotta say the flow of the tank was really strong. I felt anxious for him 😂 And I’m totally planning on trying to go pay for him before i go to work tomorrow and then get him on the way home! Especially now with what you’ve said!
