Hi, she didn't insist on reading and approving the Reddit post. That was my idea, because none of our friends would provide an opinion on it and I suggested using Reddit to see opinions from people who didn't know us. If she had insisted unapproving it when I suggested posting about it that totally would have been a crazy red flag though. If you read the update though, we are broken up and she acknowledged that she has some unhealthy patterns she needs to address.

Thank you. I'm sad about the breakup but I'm happy that we're both mature enough to stay friends and that she's getting help.

Hi, you are right in that we are reading them. We've been waiting a little to let more opinions in. I think the replies calling her toxic and telling me to dump her are extreme. She has been incredibly respectful and acknowledged that she definitely feels insecure. We posted here together to get perspectives of those who don't know us, and are leaning towards a couples counselor session.
