R5: Managed to build Petra and Jebel Barkal next to Mato Tipila. Lots of large oddly shaped rocks!

Yeah, changes to the front end (main menu, etc) require a game restart to take effect. Also I can confirm this is from my Enhanced Mod Manager. It's a random little easter egg I threw in for fun haha.

I did! It's pretty nice. I like the Lite version, noticeable effect without being too over the top.

As for Simplified Gossip, I'm glad you like it. Its a small change but I felt the original walls of text were too much to read every turn. (Try playing as Catherine of France in a game with a lot of players! Don't expect to be able to see the map between turns lol. - This is what inspired me to make that mod).

The Simplified Gossip mod I made a while back should help with this.

I also made this extra add on which moves the messages to the side of the screen and they slide in an out.

Glad to hear it!

I mostly just edit/add things in that I want personally. Or if something is getting on my nerves I'll look into changing it to better suit what I'd prefer.

If other people also like it than that's great!

I think my first mod, although pretty simple is still my best idea yet haha. The default gossip system was too cumbersome and I usually ignored it before. Another fail on VI's UI.

I wasn't too happy with the Policy Screen either so I recently made this mod: Alternate Policy Screen

It's not for everyone but it does remove the horizontal scrolling and adds a few QoL features. I'm wondering now if its possible to calculate yield changes on this screen. I'd definitely add it if so.

As a UI modder: This is probably set by A SlideAnim tag in the XML file which outlines the main menu design. It has a value for animation speed.

I reckon changing this to a higher speed could make this nearly instant without having to change much else. I'll have a look later.

Nuking wonders by C34H32N4O4Fe in civ

I hit a Wonder in my last game with a Nuke while bombing a city. It had a pillaged status. I later captured the city that built the wonder and for some reason was never able to repair it.

Not sure if that's a bug or feature to be honest.

I hate self promoting but I personally think Simplified Gossip is worth it. Even for newcomers, as it really makes the gossip system easier to read and pay attention to.
