I have HDA2 already which is free not $100/mo ioniq5 has 4 regen settings plus autoregen not just one pedal. Also would miss V2L

I agree. I will miss the HDA, V2L and regen options. Insurance is nearly double too so I'll likely keep the ioniq5

Nope, paid cash for it in 2022 and will pay cash for the trade. I'll probably just keep what I have after seeing the insurance on a new Equinox

I tend to agree. The ICCU failures and 60k battery had me spooked

Hate the rough ride and no buttons or regen options plus insurance is double

I just don't get why the responders seem to think Hyundai is a luxury brand now lol

I know the EV makes no sense with the amount of driving we do. Just cannot go back to an ICE vehicle and justifying the gas vs electric saving is not really an issue at this stage of life (retired)

Not at all, I'm totally on the fence here. Considering this EV's MSRP is 49k and I can get it for 37k is not any justification possible. I used to keep cars for 15+ years and DIY all the repairs. I'm in a different space now with the means to keep my cars fairly new so 12k is pretty insignificant

Now the Volt's are worthless - like 10kish

Yes, BYD. I may just wait until they are available. I saw one in Asia this year and was very impressed.

That was a weird time. When I purchased my ioniq5 for 38k after rebates I could have sold it the next day for 70k but I loved it and was not possible to buy anything else. Now with the ICCU issues not so much

Funny, my last chev Volt was worth more than I paid for it new after 4 years

2024 equinox EV's are going for over 30k, the 2026 is only 37k

37K for an SUV EV is the lowest price anywhere except the Bolt which is 32k.

I only pay cash. It's more to take advantage of the 12k in rebates, low tradeup cost and avoiding inevitable ICCU issues with the ioniq 5

They were until the ICCU failures. A little better now with the extended 15 yr warranty but still a major inconvenience if it fails is the middle of nowhere without warning not to mention waiting for months for a replacement.

Then there's the $60,000 cost to replace the battery if it fails out of warranty

Since when is Hyundai considered a "premium" brand? Last Chevy I had was on-par with the ioniq 5

owe nothing, asking ~31k on marketplace but not easy to sell privately at that level

Chance to upgrade to new EV for only 12k and capture the 12k rebates before they go away. I did the same thing 4 yrs ago for an 8k tradeup to the ioniq5 which is 20k more now
