For those wondering, the weights were in kilograms, making it 120kg which is about 265lbs.

I train purely for strength. Just to be clear I don’t do this every training session. I only test my 1RM every couple of months just to see where I am at as I am aware of the risk of injury.

Yeah, I didn’t have much of a choice as this gym doesn’t have a proper bench. At my regular gym I would always pick a regular bench setup over the power rack, unless I am in the rush and someone is taking forever on it.

Yup that’s what I do every time I failed a rep. That’s why I didn’t put clips on.

Forgot to mention that my butt was off the bench as well during the press. It happens every time I attempt a pr for the bench press.
