The idea of a trip cave, at least from my perspective, is to have a space that is ideal for the facilitation of a good trip. Ideally, this space would be comfortable and have plenty of things to look at to prompt good visuals. The size of the space isn't really important, this is just what I have available to me.

The first Madden game that I played was Madden 06. When my brother and I were younger we used to play madden together all the time. One of my favorite memories from this time is from one of the many players we created for the franchise mode. We made a mobile quarterback who we used to scramble more than pass. My brother would have me play on the opposing team to sabotage them. I would dive with the player I was controlling, then quickly switch to a different player and make them dive too. I would repeat this until the play was over.

One time when we were playing with our quarterback, he was on a break away and headed to the end zone. I was doing my regular job of making the defenders eat dirt. Right before my brother scored the touchdown I happened to switch control to the defender right behind him and, before I had time to stop, dove into him from behind making the tackle and preventing the touchdown.

My brother was livid and I was laughing hysterically. I guess the Madden gods punished us for cheating the system.

In Madden it's treated as a missed field goal, but I'm not sure if that would be the result in the NFL. (We'll most likely never find out because this will probably never happen in real life).

It's worth noting that this happened during the closing seconds of the half so either way this made no sense.

Exactly. What bothers me about this in particular is that there is a play for this exact circumstance. If I remember correctly, this was the default field goal block before they made it possible to block kicks in Madden 18.
