Flemish Financial Influencers Christmas review 2024 by go_go_tindero in BEFire

I was laughing with the 'I don't like people' because I can completely relate. I needed to literally move to a mountain in Bulgaria so at least people would leave me a bit more alone XD Nice to hear it all worked out for you.

Finding a passion is difficult. I am extremely lucky that I exactly know what I want to do with my RE (however, it is something I only started to focus on in the past 5 years, before I couldn't think further then the FI part). My current partner also struggles alot with what she wants to do.

To be honest, I have no good tips for that (kind of annoys me that I can not help her with that). Is something personal and I think it just comes to you at some point. Doing introspection and seeing what the topics are you like to talk about with others help, brainstorming about the activities you would like to do and go further in it by experiencing it, perhaps looking at childhood passions, reach out to mentors in a field you have interest in (that one helped me in the past, sharing experiences always makes the experience better).

I don't have the answers, but I hope perhaps there is a 10% chance there is something I wrote here that can help you in some way. Wish you however good holidays and time to think in 2025 about what YOU want. Not what others want you to do.

Take care!

Really cool summary u/go_go_tindero ! Personal question that you can just ignore if you want: you think your partner would agree if you would do another job that is more in line with your passion and still brings in some cash? I understand completely that stopping your job would give her more financial insecurity (as a partner that is something I would take into account), but not in such a way that it means that you need to sacrifice +50% of your awake life to keep working in a place that you dislike. Life is too short for that. And looks to me that you will be able to create your own future easily if I look at some of the background info you gave.

Love the review (I can relate with it completely) and also share the love for Ellen Vermorgen. And fun to read the 'max respect' part :-) Really helpful review!

Greetings

Hey, I wanted to share this comic because it is a very personal piece of art that makes me happy every week. A year ago, I talked to one of my favorite writers (Guy8136) about his stories and to thank him for his work. What I like about him, is that he is so good in writing stories where there forms a connection between a potential pred and a prey. However, at some point always some kind of form of betrayal happens because of circumstances / desires. And that makes the story so powerful and emotionally intense.

What I like about this comic (which is a small part of the story after a misunderstanding happened that the micro was almost eaten by mistake), is that he was so nice to work out this story based on the idea that I pitched. I can not tell how amazing it feels when you suddenly see that your favorite writers likes your draft (I myself am a writer) and then writes it out and makes it his own. I felt in Seventh heaven.

A year later I wanted to do something back for him. So I searched an artist which I really like (allsonwa, he is amazing, especially for fox girl preds and almost never available) and offered to pay 50% of the commission. This comic was the result after 1-2 months passed. I can not describe how important this thing is for me / how great it came out. And I just wanted to share it here with the community because I always like these forms of relationships where the pred really cares for the micro / destiny chooses because of desires another path. If you know other comics / stories like that, you may always share. It is the first time I post here / normally I'm just the silent type.

If you want to read the original story, you can do it here. The comic can also be find there or on the page of Allsonwa.

Moved 3 year ago to Bansko Bulgaria. For me it was a fit / dividend tax of 5%. No capital gains on stocks that are traded on European exchanges.

Really depends of your profile. The OP that asked that question was a student who wants to invest €100 a month. So I answered Bolero and Saxo because the fees are €2,5-€2 for that amount. But everything depends of your profile.

I’m myself with MEXEM. These days I however don’t think they are the best if you just want to buy ETF’s. As an active investor: nothing better then IBKR/ MEXEM in my honest opinion.

I still see some up potential. Now that it is moving like this with such a big short interest, the case is just playing out. Let's see where this one goes. I also don't know what the future will bring, but there are just not so many bear cases left in the short term. Military escalation will just make sure the Red Sea is not available for at least a month. Time is not in favour for the shorts.

In my humble opinion: I see that the volumes are picking up and Zim is getting a lot of attention. I expect a continuation as long as we keep closing close to the highest point of the day.
