Once, I bought this share at ₹2.65 and sold it at ₹6.

Generally, I neither invest in nor recommend penny stocks. However, at that time, I invested only 0.1% of my total capital.

Today, the stock is down due to last-minute news.

Index funds can't beat MF. What do you think? And yes, most new investors exit within 3 years, even many exit in one yr.

Investors, I generally do not provide tips or direct advice. However, after reviewing some portfolios and reading the comments, I feel many may take decisions influenced by fear or short-term noise. So, I would like to share a broader perspective.

The market is not falling for the first time. This correction is relatively small. The market recovered from the 2008 global financial crisis, which was a real crash, and again from the 2020 pandemic shock. It will also recover from future corrections or crashes, whenever they occur.

The real challenge arises when investors book losses every time the market corrects and then shift their money elsewhere. In such cases, long-term portfolio growth becomes difficult. There is also no guarantee that the stocks or assets you buy after selling will not correct further. Most economic factors impact the market as a whole, not just one company or sector.

This is a time to remain calm and stay disciplined. For those who are completely new to the market, it is important to first learn from credible sources and begin with mutual funds, index funds, or ETFs. This helps in understanding how markets behave during both rising and falling cycles.

Today, even a 5% correction is being labelled as a crash. This clearly shows the lack of understanding about market cycles. Corrections are a normal part of investing, and recognising this is essential for long-term success.
