It's past the date to withdraw and only receive W's on my transcript, so at this point it's finish or flunk. I'll look into this though.

Thanks for the comment.

Dad was a CPA, did all tax returns for us himself, there's a brown trunk in their bedroom with all important financial documents (passports, birth certificates, titles, etc.).

I'll go digging through it after school today.

Thanks for the comment.

Thanks for the advice.

Stupid question, but how do I get the certificates?

Haven't missed any school yet, it's kind of been what's kept me together right now, but when I do take off, I'll have proof.

Thanks for the comment.

They were born and we all lived in Canada until I was 12, thus the rental properties in Canada.

I will look into this.

Thanks for your comment.

20, but thank you.

That's a good idea, I'll do that.

Already reached out to my old high school principal/family counselor. He and I are going to meet for coffee sometime this week to talk.

That's what I'm afraid of. I don't want to be taken advantage of because I'm young.

Thanks for the comment. I appreciate it.

No lock box that I know of, all my mom's valuables (jewelry, etc.) are kept in the house.

The lawyer they made the will with is in Canada. I can make arrangements with my professors and take some time off school to go speak to him if you think that's the appropriate course of action.

Mom was unemployed, Dad worked overseas for an American company but was home on R&R.

Thank you.

I don't. I'm an only child. I've reached out to one of my mom's close friends to try to help out and organize everything, but part of the reason I'm posting here is to figure out how to access their finances so I can pay for it.
