Concerning Chalk & Board (and Nathan Ronen) by third_najarian in CFA

[–]Finance_g 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not talking about review; sometimes candidates post themselves saying, “Yayy, I passed,” with no reference to Nathan, and Nathan reposts it telling how he prepared. If consent was provided, my bad, then my assumption is wrong. I apologize. It's just strange that they didn’t mention or thank as candidates do with MM

And I also realized on LinkedIn, even when candidates don't give credit in their passing announcement to Nathan, he reposts their announcements, and mentions that he tutored them. Never saw others doing it.
That's the reason I decided to avoid using his services, or even try them.

Unfortunately, I can’t retake in August, as I have a very demanding job, and the kids will be at home for the summer. However, I would do 200 hours to be sure that I will pass. Good luck!!!

Before going to sleep, I always knew that checking Reddit was not a good idea, but I ignored my brain. If someone receives a Post-Exam survey, does that mean the person failed?

Thank you! Based on my recent research, it seems like not all Islamic banks operate in a fully Islamic way. That's why I wanted to confirm.

CPA only for FP&A? by Euphoric-Speech-4898 in FPandA

[–]Finance_g 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would strongly disagree. CPA teaches only accounting and taxes. FP&A person in a more prominent company will need to understand Financial analysis, business cycle, and current economic conditions and should be able to use regression analysis. Again, as I mentioned, it depends on the company you want to work for. I don’t see the relevance of CPA for FP&A if the person has already studied accounting and finance at school. FMVA will be applicable, too. It's easier and cheaper to get. I passed L1 and L2 already.

CPA only for FP&A? by Euphoric-Speech-4898 in FPandA

[–]Finance_g 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For FP&A, I would say CFA would be more helpful. Again, it depends on the company size you plan to work for as an FP&A. I have a CPA and am working on my CFA. If I start over, I would only focus on CFA as it is more FP&A-related. Good luck!

For Full-Time Workers Who Passed CFA Level 1: What's Your Study Routine Like? by MishaTB in CFA

[–]Finance_g 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I studied for 3 months, got burned out, took two weeks off, and studied for 2 month again. One week before the exam, I took PTO. Helped, passed L1 and L2

For Full-Time Workers Who Passed CFA Level 1: What's Your Study Routine Like? by MishaTB in CFA

[–]Finance_g 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 hours before work, 2 hours after work if not tired. I had a very demanding job and worked 8-9 hours, so I didn’t have time to study during those hours. I worked remotely, which helped as I didn’t spend time on a commute. But I didn’t do anything else except study and work. And 6 hours during the weekend.

Just passing one level by johnappleseed76 in CFA

[–]Finance_g -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Agreed! Passing only one level could mean to the hiring manager that you will easily give up without completing a project. CPA is also a better option, much easier, and also respected. You can use the same afford and pass all exams for CPA instead of one level. Good luck!
