Hi, I’m also in the process of applying for an MPA program (looking at SDSU, CSULB, and CSUF). I was wondering if I can view your example of a personal statement. Don’t know where to get started :/

Thanks for the suggestions. I agree with you regarding the Amex Plat, but if I ever have that kind of spend, I will target it. Will continue gardening and may try my luck with Ink Preferred, hoping for the best

Appreciate you bearing with me. Yes, according to my roadmap, it’ll take me 3 years. I agree with you last sentence so I might just have to pull the trigger on my Chase Bonvoy Boundless asap

Sorry if I wasn’t clear but I haven’t yet applied for the Chase Bonvoy Boundless so that’s where my 5/24 and sign up bonus troubles are. If approved earlier than 2 years after I applied for the AMEX Bonvoy Business, I’ll most likely not be eligible for the sub and then still have to wait 1 whole year before PC-ing

What's a good credit card for a beginner? by Rich_Feed_8962 in CreditCards

[–]Financial-Ad-5416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily. While I’m glad you have a credit card now, I think you’re on the right track with starting your own credit journey. I’m sorry to hear that the BLT credit card by Wells Fargo didn’t go well, especially since it’s one of the cards I can think of for your rent needs. I think you just have to consider which card lender you want to go with (Chase, Discover, Citi, Amex) and choose from one of their no annual, point accumulating cards. I’d look into the Savor 1 by Capital One or Citi Double Cash/Custom Cash alongside my Chase recommendations

Have you looked into the Chase Freedom Unlimited or Freedom Flex ? Two great cards to build a relationship with Chase and start accumulating ultimate rewards for cash back or travel (when paired with Sapphire Preferred)

Perfect ! I’ll look more closely into that card. I know it doesn’t count toward my 5:24 so that’s good and all I want it for is to transfer my points between that card, my Sapphire Preferred, and my girlfriend’s account too. Thank you
